Today the sun stands still.
The longest day. The brightest light.
The garden is wild. The berries are sweet. The laundry may or may not be dry on the line (if it ever makes it there).

Here on the homestead, summer doesn’t ask for perfection—it asks for presence.

Bare feet in the grass.
Dirt under the nails.

🌱 Wake up early to water the garden, then somehow end up mowing half the county

🧢 Wear the same hat every day until it disintegrates, then mourn it like an old friend

He might not ask for much—

It’s the birthday of two of my favorite humans: my daughter and my husband. 💕 (Yes, they share a birthday. No, I still can’t believe I pulled that off.)

💗 Slowing down enough to really soak in the joy.

Self-care isn’t always quiet baths and candles.
