Update on our trees! After one month planted, trees are looking good. They have a little bit of yellowing from the transplant process but look like they are settling in. We don’t see any damage from deer yet and they have gotten a lot of good rain. 😁💚👏🏻

More planting pics! After removing the seedlings from the packaging, we measured the roots and trimmed them to between the red lines. This allowed for us to make sure the roots didn’t “J Hook” when we were planting them because we could only go a certain depth with our dibble bar. Then we would dip the in the Terra Sorb one by one and place a bamboo stake next to them for stability. Learning the trade! 🌲💚

Behind the scenes pictures from our planting! Here we are trimming our bareroot seedlings and then dipping them in the Terra Sorb (aka the applesauce) prior to planting which will hopefully hold in more water during the dry times. It was so cold and windy!!

2025 planting is complete! We have planted 108 trees in total. We were rescheduled for snow, freezing temps and rain today, but we got as many as we could. We are looking forward to seeing how they do this year and learned a lot for the next year! Thank you to everyone who has provided us their advice!
