Mountain Meadows Farm We are a small farm located outside of Bellefonte, PA. We raise beef cattle, hogs, and chickens. We will soon be adding goats.

It’s move in weekend… which means the Great Grange Fair starts in less than 1 week 🎡🎟️

We would like to take a moment (before the real craziness starts 🤪) to thank Avery’s buyers from last year. We are so grateful to have a wonderful community that supports these hard working kids. We are especially grateful for the ones who choose to support our kids.

So please help us in telling these friends THANK YOU for taking the time out of their busy schedules last year, and spending their hard earned money to support Avery.

We encourage everyone to take some time during the fair and visit the livestock area. Walk through the barns or come watch one of the shows. The Jr Livestock Sale will take place Friday August 22nd, come see what it’s all about. These kids have spent endless hours working with their animals to get them ready to bring to the fair and it’s worth some recognition.

We also encourage you to support these local businesses. They took the time and money to support our 4H and FFA kids. They deserve the community’s support.

We have goats for sale! In order to make room for some more, we are selling some of our breeding stock. If interested please call/text Bridget at 814-574-9090. Descriptions are below of what’s available.

4 does: We have 5y, 4y, 3y, and a 6m old does available. 3 yr old is a savanna/boer cross, the rest are boer. The doe kid was born this year and has the sweetest personality. She is also halter trained. The older does are all very tame and sweet as can be.

1 Buck: We have a 6m old boer/savanna cross buck kid. He is very laid back. He is also halter trained.

1 wether: We have a 1.5y old wether who would make a nice pet. He is tame and halter trained.

It’s that time of year when Jake says to get rid of some goats 😂 We have 4 for sale! 3 are 2025 kids, born the first week of January. The 4th is a left over wether from 2024. He was kept as a companion for our buck… but our new buck does not like sharing a pen with him 🙄.

2025 kids: All have horns. All have received CD&T and Bo-Se shots. They also just finished second round of Di-methox. Solid brown kid is a doe. Paint with spots on butt is a buck. He is our only bottle baby from this year and acts like a typical bottle baby. White with blue ticking is a buck as well. His dam is 1/4 Savanna and clearly the coloring is a dominant trait 😂. All 3 have been around and handled by kids. All are very tame. The bucks will be banded this week unless someone is interested in one as a breeding buck.

2024 Wether: “Hagrid” was Averys spare project animal for the fair last year. That being said, he is very tame and has been handled quite a bit. The plan was to butcher him after the fair but then decided to keep him as a companion for the buck. That plan backfired and now Hagrid is back with the does, trying to hog all the feed, and we don’t havethe heart to butcher him. He would make a GREAT pet for someone if that is what you are looking for. He probably would also be nice for the freezer, just not ours. He Is UTD on CD&T and Bo-Se, last dose being in January.

We have had a busy couple of months, last week being our busiest. We have had 7 calves, 2 of which were the 4th set of twins born on the farm 😊. We had 6 goat kids born this week. All babies and mamas are doing great! We also added Jax, a new buck to our herd this week. Now we just get to enjoy our babies and impatiently wait for piglets to be born 🥰🐐🐄

Up for sale are 2 of our bottle babies! “Hermione” is a traditional boer doe. “Dobby” is a Savanna cross wether. Both have typical bottle bady attitudes and would love to snuggle and annoy some new owners!
