Meet Felisha, the author of the beloved Chunki Chip recipe. 🎀🍪

Before opening Chunki Chip with her mom and sister, Felisha was a clinical nurse consultant. But in 2019, everything changed when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Through chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and the complications that came along the way, she needed something positive to pour her energy into. That something became chocolate chip cookies.

What started as a way to stay busy, keep her mind focused, and find a little joy during an incredibly difficult chapter slowly turned into a mission: make the BEST chocolate chip cookie ever.

And she worked at it. Batch after batch after batch. Tweaking, testing, starting over, and probably eating more chocolate chips than she’d like to admit. 😂

Five years later, Mom and sister finally boarded the cookie train, and the rest is Chunki history. ❤️

Chunki Chip may have officially opened its doors in 2026, but its story started years earlier in a kitchen, during a time when baking became an unexpected source of purpose, creativity, and happiness.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re celebrating the survivors, remembering those we’ve lost, and sending love to every person and family whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. 🎀

And we’re especially grateful that one very difficult chapter somehow helped write the beginning of ours.

From Felisha’s kitchen experiment to the giant, chunky cookies you know today. 🍪🩷
