I'm working on getting pictures of all available lambs as we go through them, here are some of the available ram lambs. If you are looking for something in particular please inquire, I'm still making decisions.

The rams I primarily used last year are:
Star and Root Comfrey Ai (by UK ram Rosebank Robert)
Star and Root Nettle Ai (by UK ram Powdermill Dustin)
Star and Root Chicory Ai (by UK ram Smali Knight)

Star and Root Comfrey Ai is such a great fellow, his daddy is UK ram Rosebank Robert. He is a solid built ram with gorgeous wool, his temperament is calm and easy going, and he passes that to his lambs. He produced a great black ram last year and I'm excited for his lambs this year.

Tried to get some glamor shots of the rams, before they get shorn. This is Star and Root Nettle Ai, he was mostly interested in the grass.

Nettle is the son of uk ram Powdermill Dustin, he is a mellow and easy to handle ram with beautiful wool, I'm impressed with his lambs too.

I'm a little over a third of the way through shearing the flock, taking a break today as I pulled my shoulder muscle trying to catch a lamb who didn't want to go in at night, oh well.

What a cool Iris, I think these are pretty old, they were planted in what used to be the lane, now horse paddock. I saved them from being eaten by the horses and shaded out by trees. I planted them in my garden area, I think they are happy!

Shetlands are actually browsers, they love grass but will also graze on trees, shrubs and plants of all kinds if given a chance.

Looking for new pastures 2026.

I will have several good adult ewes available as I'm keeping their daughters and you can't keep them all (I try though, I'm bad at selling them) and some really good lambs. I will be adding to this as we evaluate lambs, I only offer lambs that I have evaluated and feel are good breeding quality. All sheep are registered with NASSA and I have micron tests on most.

The young shepherdess rooed one of her favorite sheep, Inse Elsbeth. Some Shetland Sheep have the genetic trait of losing their old fleece in the spring, while the new fleece grows underneath. You can gently pull the old wool off when it is ready to roo, this rooed fleece is extra nice to spin as the fiber is uniform and even.
