Pollinators, like bees and butterflies, visit blossoms one by one resulting in staggered ripening of fruit. 🐝 🦋 If our friend came back to inspect her work from earlier in the season we’d say she’s quite pleased!

Pro Tip: When picking blackberries select fruit more matte black in color—we know how tempting the shiny ones can be.
Fruit with a duller finish indicates sugars are fully developed for flavor and berries are ripe for the picking!
