Good afternoon, Shoshin Farm Fam! We thought it was time for a Blondie update! Blondie is doing really well here and she's brought so much joy to our family. She's learned the whole first floor of the house and we have a great daily routine. When she's outside, she's allowed to be off leash under very close supervision. Otherwise, she'll hang out in the fenced garden area with the chickens.Blondie has been on shopping trips and has a marker on her leash as well as a vest that lets people know she is blind and deaf. Blondie is very friendly, but it's a bit startling when a strange hand pets your head.
Blondie has been to the vet and the ophthalmologist a few times and is in pretty good health. Unfortunately, nothing can be done to restore her vision and because she was spayed so very late in life, she has developed mammary tumors. We're optimistic, though, because the largest tumor was removed and came back as benign. In June, she'll get her teeth cleaned and have the remaining tumors removed. Keep your fingers crossed that those are benign as well!

Good evening Shoshin Farm Fam! We love to share wonderful places, shops, and markets that we visit. Today, we visited the farmstand at Highley Homestead in Hamilton. There were so many delicious treats as well as personal and home care items. We're having friends over tomorrow and can't WAIT to dig into the brown butter brioche cinnamon rolls, sourdough bread, shallot and herb focaccia, and rosemary and Parmesan sourdough bagels.
