Yesterday I thought I had lost my social media accounts.
For a little while, I panicked. Not because of followers or likes, but because that’s how I stay connected with so many of the people who support my salon and this little farm dream. It’s how hair clients find me, how people book flowers, yoga classes, photo sessions, and future events. It’s where so many conversations and connections happen.
I even found myself praying about it and then feeling guilty because there are people carrying much heavier burdens than losing a social media page.
Then I started thinking about this farm.
The old pictures I’m sharing are from the families who cared for this land long before me. Long before Facebook and Instagram, people built businesses with hard work, handshakes, word of mouth, and neighbors telling neighbors.
Then, in 1933, a fire destroyed the house, the barn, and the outbuildings. The house was never rebuilt. If you come to the farm today, the old foundation is still there at the front of the property—a quiet reminder that life doesn’t always go according to plan.
Yesterday reminded me that I’m not the first person to worry about the future of this farm, and I certainly won’t be the last. I’m just grateful to be one small chapter in its story.
The funny thing is that while I thought everything was falling apart, yesterday ended up being my best day of online bookings this year. Bouquet Building Workshops, yoga classes, mason jars, photo sessions… the bookings just kept coming. It felt like a quiet reminder that the relationships we’ve built are real.
Last night, while Molly was at lacrosse practice, I spent the evening making bouquets, so the stand is loaded up for today. 🌸
If you’d like to experience a little bit of the farm this summer, we’d love to have you.

Whether you come to stretch among the flowers, build a bouquet, book a photo session, or simply stop by the stand, thank you for being part of this little chapter of the farm’s story.
Now I’m off to Field Day, feeling grateful for another day to keep building and another chance to be a small part of this farm’s story.
Thank you for being here, for supporting my family, my salon, my farm, and all the little dreams that keep growing around here. I truly don’t take it for granted.
