So, how are we going to get children to wear face masks. Try cutting off the sleeves of one of their t-shirts. Slip it over their head, seam in back and hem on top. They can wear it as a sweat cloth all day and pull it up as a face mask when necessary. Works for larger kids too. I wear one all day. Comfortable, washable, always at hand.

Well, it's that time when the goat Ma-Ma's start having baby's. Three arrived on last Friday and this noon we have had two more but the doe sure looks like she could be having one or another soon.

This could be when Butternut Farm will be having baby goats in the next week or to.

Good morning everyone! Inspite of the snow outside, Spring is coming right up. The seed orders have arrived, we are sanitizing the greenhouses and will start seeding in 3 weeks. The does are due to have their kids in about 6 weeks so we will really get busy, hope for warmer night temperature. If you have any old j***y towels, bring them by the farm, We need them to clean the kids at birth. We will be selling everything at the farm again this year so plan to visit us and the goats. Oh what a beautiful Morning! What will tomorrow bring?

Sad news for everyone who enjoyed Joseph's company. Joey died last night. We were treating him for pneumonia for a week but this fluxuating temperatures proved too much. He was our first born and a gentle giant. We miss you Joey

Except for our goat products, the farm is almost put to bed. Oliver is visiting the girls, breeding season. The dozens of turkeys are eating the oat seeds we use for a cover crop. Not sure they know Thanksgiving are coming, they look nice and fat. They probably know we don't allow hunting so they are safe. We will be attending the Milford Winter Market with Brussell sprouts and goat products. This has not been a good vegetable year, too hot and wet. We will be making many changes next Summer, and invite you to come directly to the farm daily instead of waiting until the market on Saturdays. After 40 years of marketing and 75 years of age we will stay on the farm with the same products. This way you can visit with the goats, cut your own flowers and enjoy where your food comes from.
Thank you for your years of support and see you on November 3rd in the Milford Town Hall.
