Come prepare a jewelweed tincture with us! Jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) is a native plant with anti-inflammatory, antihistamine, and anti-fungal properties that has been used for centuries as a remedy for poison ivy (and other skin ailments, from bug bites to eczema). At this workshop, we’ll talk about the benefits of jewelweed, forage for jewelweed on the farm, and process it. We’ll let it steep for a few weeks, then strain and bottle up your tincture and notify you when it’s ready to pick up, ready for use as a topical mist. All materials and spray bottle will be provided.
