A&R Farm

A&R Farm A&R Farm is a local backyard Garden & Orchard located in Alexandria Township NJ.

We use organic methods to grow fruits and vegetables to feed our family, raise chickens and ducks for eggs, and offer seasonally available produce to the community!

We HATE wasting food here at A&R Farm. One of the things we did last year to help try to keep our produce fresh from the time it’s picked until it hits the stand or our table was to invest in these speed racks and full size baking trays that we keep in our basement.

A commercial kitchen was going out of business and listed these on Facebook marketplace. We believed we could up-cycle these and help us keep our produce fresher for longer. We both work full time in corporate jobs and investing in true cold storage was never an option. So keeping our produce in our air conditioned basement on these racks helps allow our produce to stay fresher for longer.

It’s not perfect by any means, but it works for us based on the backyard nature of what we’ve built.

If you’ve stopped by and tried some of our produce, please know we try our best to offer you the freshest product we can. We hope it’s as delicious as it is when we enjoy it ourselves with our family and friends.
