Shady Knoll Orchards & Distillery LLC is an exciting new addition to the rapidly growing craft distillery industry in the U.S. We are located in the beautiful Hudson River Valley about an hour and a half drive north of New York City. Our orchards and distillery lie just south of the quaint Village of Millbrook in Dutchess County on a country farm that dates back to the late 1700s.

Finishing last Shady Knoll Apple Brandy distillation for the year--after juicing our apples in the fall, we let the apple juice ferment naturally (no commercial yeast) until June, when we double distill it and start barrel aging. Takes longer but the taste is worth it.

Ready to try an awesome new summer drink? Try out "Pomme Royale"--2/3 Shady Knoll Pommeau, 1/3 Prosecco, 2 drops Grenadine, shake with ice, strain and serve straight up in martini glass. Pommeau is an applely blend of our aged Shady Knoll Apple Brandy and fresh apple juice. Available at our tasting room and in local stores in New York and Dallas.

Our apple tree pruning is finally done--this is how much unnecessary wood we removed. Much tougher this year because of the snow and cold. But our apple trees are now ready to start budding out and growing apples for our wonderful Shady Knoll Apple Brandy and Pommeau (a delicious blend of our aged Apple Brandy and fresh apple juice).
