Elmhurst Dairy Farms

Elmhurst Dairy Farms "Milk that Tastes like Cream!" In addition to processing milk, the Pearsons' make 26 flavors of delectable ice cream!! The farm stand is open from 8:30 a.m.

About Us:
Robert and Barbara Pearson with the help of their sons, Bob and John, daughter Cindy, John's wife Fran and their children Brittany and Cody assume full operational control and ownership, and have been running the farm for over 23 years. Prior to the purchase of the farm, Robert's parents, Oscar and Easter Pearson, started a milk processing plant in 1934, using milk from the neighboring

Fjellman Farm. The Pearsons' delivered milk to nearby communities and still continue to do so today as both the processing plant and milk route are still fully operational. The current milking facility built in 1930 is a traditional tie stall barn that houses 60 milking cows with a pipeline system and rotational grazing. Currently the farm consists of 300 acres of cropland. Stop by in December to pick out and cut your own locally grown Christmas tree and don't forget to grab a wreath made right here on the farm by Brittany. The first Sunday in December visit us for Millbury's Chain of Lights Festival- come visit the cows and see Santa as he arrives by tractor! In March and April stop by the store to get some freshly made maple syrup from trees right here in West Millbury. Bob carefully harvests and bottles it in beautiful decorative containers that make great gifts! Plus there's nothing better than sweet homemade maple syrup on freshly made pancakes or ice cream as Cody likes to do! During the summer moths visit our roadside vegetable stand that has the most delicious and sweetest sweet corn available in Worcester County and the freshest vegetables that are grown right here in Millbury, MA. until 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

🚜🌾 Hay Baling Season is Here! 🌾🚜

One of the most important jobs on the farm during the summer is making hay. Hay is harvested, dried, and baled so we can store nutritious feed for our cows during the winter months when fresh pasture isn’t available.

Timing is everything! We need several days of dry weather to cut, dry, rake, and bale the hay at just the right moisture level. Good-quality hay helps keep our animals healthy, comfortable, and well-fed all year long.

Every bale we put up today is food for our herd tomorrow. 💚🐄

Fun Cow Fact!

Cows don’t just eat grass, they’re surprisingly picky grazers! When out on pasture, they’ll often sniff around and choose their favorite plants first, kind of like picking the best items from a buffet.

A happy cow can spend 6–10 hours a day grazing, turning fresh pasture into the delicious milk we all enjoy. 🥛

If you see our cows out in the field, they’re not just eating, they’re carefully selecting today’s menu! 😄

Mud Pie Taste Test: Officially Approved!

We take quality control very seriously here at Elmhurst Dairy Farm… which is why every batch of ice cream must pass inspection by our toughest critic. 😋

After a thorough evaluation involving multiple spoonfuls, several licks, and absolutely no sharing, we’re happy to report:

✅ Creamy
✅ Delicious
✅ Kid-approved

Stop by and grab a quart before our taste tester comes back for seconds (or thirds). 🍦😂

From all of us at Elmhurst Dairy Farm, we pause today to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

Their sacrifice is the reason we’re able to enjoy the freedom to live, work, and farm the land we love. 🇺🇸

If you catch a certain “farm fresh” smell in the air today… don’t worry, that’s just us spreading manure! 💩🚜

Believe it or not, manure is one of the best natural fertilizers for our fields. It helps feed the soil, grow healthy crops, and keeps our farm sustainable by recycling nutrients right back into the land. The cows make it, the fields love it, and the corn grows better! 🌽

So while it may not smell like roses out there today… it does smell like farming! Thanks for understanding that sometimes the price of fresh local food is a little extra “aroma therapy.” 😅

🚨 NEW FLAVOR ALERT 🚨

Who let the ice cream makers loose again!? 🍦

This time they made peanut butter cup! A rich chocolate ice cream loaded with real peanut butter and Reese’s pieces!

We tried to stop them… but this one was just too good 😂
