Love getting candid shots on a Saturday afternoon. Justina is a Saturn x VG 88 Defiant x Sunrose Jess EX 94. She went VG 86 today for Becca and Tucker Hardy...well done guys, her future looks bright!
Sunrose Jet-Red-ET. EX 93. Jet made it out for the first time this year when she was named Grand Champion R&W at the Indiana State Fair. In addition, her Jordy daughter won the Sr 2 yr old class and her Aflame daughter was 4th spring yrlg. She seems to be following in the footsteps of her mama, Sunrose Jess EX 94 as both a show cow, and brood cow. Many Jess family members were involved in allowing us to capture both Premier Breeder, and Premier Exhibitor banners for the Red and White Show, as well as the Black and White shows.
Congrats to the Peachey family on the continued success of Peachey Saturn Teacup! Int Champ at yesterday's Western PA Championship Show. Well done!

We snuck in a limited classification on Friday. Was a small day, but still a nice one. Ernest-Anthony Ophelia was a new EX @ 90 EX MS (windbrook x maplekeys sid odyssey) K-Hurst Doorman Profound jumped to EX 91 for the Beyer family. Sunrose Amelia rounded out the new EX cows at 90. Sunrose Libertys Lady was just a few weeks fresh with her 3rd calf but gained a ppint to 92, while her big sister Lacey is stale in her 3rd lactation while picking up a point to 93. Sunrose Jaguar-Red was fresh just 9 day as a sr 2, but was able to go VG 87, can't wait to watch this one over the next month! Big thank you to Patty Davis for removing a lot of hair in a hurry (and for giving me a human to talk to for a few days).
We love things that are unique. I beleive this RED daughter of Mr Sunrose Saturn qualifies as unique! A Saturn from a variant red pedigree, she is fresh one week with her 2nd calf in this picture we received this morning.
After our Saturn post yesterday, we received this picture last night. Peachey Saturn Teacup VG, is the All Pa jr 2 yr old for 2021. She is due in January to Sidekick. Can't wait to watch this one develope! Good luck guys!
As our picture of Saturn has continued to come in to focus, a few things are sticking out to me. Saturn was not embraced by the masses, the best cows were not IVF'd to him every other week. Less than 5000 units of Saturn went out in to the world, with at least half of those going to large dairies who do not register. Yet in August, there was a week where if you logged on to Holsteinusa, there was 9 new VG 2 yr olds, and 5 new EX 3 yr olds. If you log on today you will find three 91 point jr 3 yr olds, an 87 pt jr 2 and a pair of 86 point milking yearlings. Pretty good percentages we beleive. We have some left, but don't wait to much longer.
Sheeknoll Saturn Angel EX. 2nd Jr 3 & Best Udder IN State Fair 2021. Angel went from cute little heifer, to developing young cow over the last 12 months. I think she has changed a bunch since the state fair 10 days ago. Saturn X Sheeknoll Durham Arrow EX 96 and is owned with Michelle Reasner.

Makes for a fun day when the texts start coming in to tell me about this beautiful daughter of Mr Sunrose Saturn who won the Jr 2 yr old class at the PA Spring Show today. Congrats to Laurel Run Farm, looks like a bright future!
Only had time for working clothes pictures this week. Sunrose Julia is catching a ride to Tennessee this morning where she sells as Lot 31 in the TN Spring Spectacular. Lesperon Stronger x GP 2y Armani (maternal sis to Sunrose Jet-Red & Sunrose Jenisis-ET). Next dam is Sunrose Jess EX 94, then 6 more VG & EX with big production. First test was 92lbs with a 4.8 fat. Currently 33k scc.
Do-it-yourself breeder bull kits for sale. Pictured are Sunrose Jet-Red and Sunrose Jenisis-ET. Bull number one is sired by Milksource Cheers x VG 87 2y old full sister to these lovely ladies. Bull number 2 is sired by Mr Silks Satisfaction (high type, component, and health trait crush son from ex atwood x misty springs shottle silk) from a VG 85 2yr old full sister. Both will be a year old in March. We also have a Satisfaction x VG Saturn 2 yr old x Sheeknoll Durham Arrow EX 96. He will be a year old on March 30. Sunrose Jet-Red EX-92. Nominated All American R&W 4 yr old! Jet is a Defiant x Sunrose Jess EX 94. As a pudgy little july heifer, it was sometimes tough to see the future, but the future seems to be inching closer! Jet has a beautiful Dec 19 daughter by Jordy, and she is due March 1 to Aflame-Red.
Received some pretty sweet pictures today. Saturn summer jr 2 yr old from Sheeknoll Durham Arrow. This young lady scored VG-87 with an 88 point mammary this morning. Congrats th the whole Sheehan family, and I look forward to the pics of "the best heifer in the barn" Andy was telling me about!
The Saturns continue to do what they thought they would. Great udders, big enough, but not too big, and the kind of young cows that we LOVE to watch get old. After the rollback, he still sits at +765m, 2.85 Type, and 3.08 UDC. We will have an inventory at Circleville this week if you love the same kind we do.

Hoobirk Shasta EX-90. Shasta was one of our 5 new excellent cows this week. She is a Big Apple x Absolute x Advent. Just checked pregnant to Aflame, ready for the return of showing in 2021. Shasta is owned with Brad and Laura Hooley.
Sunrose Jailey-ET VG 87. Another Defiant x Sunrose Jess EX 94. Full sister to Jet EX 92, Jesara VG 85, and Jessie VG 88. Another full sister, Jenisis, was Jr Champ at the Kansas State Fair for Sophie Leach, and Jodi GP 83 @ 2 yr is with the Menzi family in Ohio.

Sunrose Jesara-ET VG 85. Another Defiant x Sunrose Jess EX 94. Another full sister, Jailey, went VG 87 @ 2 yr, but missed the camera roll.
K-Hurst Doorman Profound-ET VG-87, owned by Matt and Leah Beyer & family. Thrilled to be trusted with this young cows care and developement. Her future is very bright!

On the left is Sunrose Demi, who got another point, making her EX 94. On the right is her Saturn daughter, Sunrose Destiny EX @ 3yr. In addition, Demi's Saturn sister Desire was VG 86 @ 2yr. Our first, and favorite, family.
