Sales Representative Job Description
Job Objective:
Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generations through close, in an assigned territory. Work within the sales
and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in
line with company vision and values.
Responsibilities:
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be
made. We would like 10-15 per day or 50 per week contact calls.
Ability to generate the following: $5000-7000 new sales in the 1 st year, $10,000 aggregate sales in the 2 nd year,
and $15,000 aggregate sales in the 3 rd year.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
Identify and resolve client concerns
Communicate new produce and service opportunities, specials developments, information, or feedback
gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
Follow-up for collection of payment
Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Strong interpersonal and
communications skills. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid
state driver’s license and automobile.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight
travel. On call 1-2 times per month on a Saturday. Normal daily work hours are the following: 7:30am to 5pm
Monday through Friday. Would need to report to Scheid Produce location on Monday, Thursday and Friday at
7:30am for obtaining prices changes and once a week Friday morning Sales meeting.
