🔸“Migrants power our food system. Nearly 75% of U.S. farmworkers were born outside the United States, and roughly 50% are undocumented, according to the U.S. Dept. of Labor.

🔸Immigrants should never have to justify their worth through their labor. Yet the labor they provide sustains the food system we all rely on.

🔸Despite this, many farmworkers lack access to basic needs, including a living wage, workers’ rights, safe and decent housing, and protection from harassment and violence.

🔸As immigration enforcement intensifies, it is more important than ever to remember that these individuals are not faceless laborers, but human beings whose tireless efforts sustain our communities.

🔸We cannot turn a blind eye to the injustices that threaten the very people who put food on our tables.

🔸Standing in solidarity with farm workers means raising our voices against unjust immigration policies and supporting those who protest for fair treatment and humane reforms.

🔸By demanding justice for farm workers, we honor their labor and affirm our shared humanity.”

As we mobilize to support our neighbors amidst escalating repression and violence this new year, we remain steadfast in our dedication to building a future in which everyone - especially QTBIPOC communities - can truly thrive.

Fighting the authoritarianism we face requires our fierce commitment to one another, to resistance in so many forms, and to our collective dreams of liberation.

We are humbled and honored by your consistent support of our vision and programs. It is because of you that we are able to feed thousands of community members, train and support hundreds of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC farmers, and build power toward a future of food and land sovereignty for all.

Thanks to you, we raised $155,000 of our very ambitious goal - the most we’ve ever raised during our end-of-year fundraising campaign. We feel confident in our team and our community of individual and institutional supporters to close the remaining gap this new year.

These funds will support our efforts across all our programs - including food access, farmer training, farmer housing, farmland access, supply chain coordination, infrastructure development, powerbuilding, as well as digital and physical security measures for our team and community.

Thank you, thank you, thank you 💗

The Hudson Valley housing crisis is hitting farms hard - and especially QTBIPOC farmers🚨🏠🔑

Rock Steady farmers report spending up to 60% of their income on housing — double the ratio recommended by financial planners and economists.

At Rock Steady, we’re responding by raising wages, expanding benefits, and working alongside our comrades at to catalyze affordable housing for farmers and landworkers.

A portion of our end of year fundraising goal will support these housing stipends, and we need your help.

So far, we’ve raised $55,000 of our $200,000 goal - bringing us to 28% raised.

Will you make a donation today to get us closer? The link is in our bio.

Your support will also fuel our collaborative systems-change efforts in the region, so other farms can raise wages and access benefits, too.

Thank you for your support 💗🌱

Let us know that your donation is intended to support our housing efforts by writing “Farmer Housing” in the note field of the donation form.

* If you know of regional housing opportunities or of property that could be a fit for developing farmer housing, please reach out to Jules at Growing Homes: [email protected]

Ten years ago, Rock Steady Farm began with a vision that, as farmers, we can — and must — create a new paradigm in a deeply unjust food system and escalating climate crisis.

We embarked on this project with questions and many untested ideas.

🍅🥬🥕 We dreamed of making fresh food more accessible to any member of our community - and particularly q***r, trans, BIPOC folks, seniors, families with young children, immigrants, low-income households, and people living with serious health concerns.

✨🦋💗 Even bigger, we dreamed of making that possible for other LGBTQ+ and BIPOC farmers.

For ten years, we’ve been planting seeds and tending to our growing ideas. 🌱 With the support of our community and the partnership of vast network of collaborating projects, our ideas have become a proven track record of impact.

‼️ With all we’ve accomplished, we need your support for what lies ahead as we pursue even bigger dreams of shared infrastructure, community-led supply chains, and more.

As of today, we’ve raised $43,685, nearly 22% of our $200,000 by January 1 goal.

🌟 Will you donate today to support the road ahead? 🌟

If you aren’t able to give right now, but plan to support us in 2026, please email us to make a giving pledge and we’ll follow up with you on your timeline! Pledges and commitments also get us closer to our goal!

Wowwwww!!! Look at these amazing people! 5 years and 24 Pollinators later - we hosted our first reunion!

Together we gathered for a blissful and fun weekend to celebrate these incredible farmers, land stewards, and food sovereignty workers for all they’ve achieved since their time with us in the Pollinate! apprentice program. It was such a pleasure to host everyone on the land again and facilitate so many new connections. For many this was their first opportunity to meet one another and we’re so excited for what will come from it.

While we had so much fun together over the fire, attending ’s 5th Annual Garlic Festival, and more, the HIVE Alumni Reunion was also an important moment for us at Rock Steady to learn how we can continue to grow this program and support QTBIPOC farmers. The reunion allowed us to dream and vision what the HIVE Alumni Network will become. We discussed land dreams, creative funding strategies, protecting cultural foodways, shared skills, and drafted plans for some amazing projects to come.

Huge thank you to our hosts at The Watershed Center, and for our group outings, our regional technical assistance providers and for the restorative bodywork we were able to provide to everyone in attendance.

We are excited to build towards more reunions in the future! 🐣💗🍉🫜🧄 🐝🪲
