‼️🚨Don't forget October is Taelyn's month🚨‼️

All proceeds from our cleaning products go directly to her. This fundraiser will be going directly to her 2027 4-H projects.🍀

Fair has been moved up 2 months so that creates new challenges for these kiddos and their animals🐖🐔🦃🐇

Getting the animals sooner means she will be caring for the babies in the coldest part of winter. The funds made will go to getting her animals, heat sources, extra feed expenses, and shelter upgrades. 🛠🪚❄️🔥

If you cant make it out and simply just want to donate that is greatly appreciated also. I will post my venmo and cash app and we will transfer it into her 4-H saving account🍀🏦

Thank you so much for supporting my girl and her 4-H dreams 🐷🐰🐔🦃

🐰🐷🐔🦃 DON’T FORGET — THE ENTIRE MONTH OF OCTOBER SUPPORTS TAELYN’S 2027 4-H PROJECTS! 🦃🐔🐷🐰

Taelyn has BIG hopes and goals for next year, and because our fair has been moved up two months, she’s getting a head start NOW! 💚

She’s hoping to take on quite a few projects next year — a rabbit, a pig, meat chickens, and a turkey (or two!) — and every purchase of our Dead Creek Homestead cleaning products throughout October will go directly toward helping her make those goals happen. 🥰

Now, I may be a little biased, because I’m her mom… 😂 but Taelyn truly is one of the hardest-working 10-year-olds I know.

She works hard at school, helps take care of ALL of our animals here on the homestead (and if you’ve ever been here, you know that is NO small job! 🤪), and she is always willing to pitch in wherever she’s needed.

She absolutely loves our animals, regardless of what their purpose is here. She loves knowing they are cared for, loved, and getting to live their best lives while they’re with us. ❤️

And yes… sometimes she gets emotional when it comes to the reality of raising animals for 4-H. But that’s also part of what makes this experience so meaningful for her. She’s learning responsibility, compassion, hard work, where our food comes from, and how to respect an animal while understanding the purpose it was raised for.

4-H is about so much more than showing an animal at the fair. It’s teaching kids commitment, responsibility, confidence, and the value of working toward something they’ve dreamed about.

So if you need laundry soap, fabric softener, an air freshener, dish soap, or any of our other all-natural Dead Creek Homestead cleaning products, October is the perfect time to stock up! 🧼🌿

Your purchase helps Taelyn get one step closer to her 2027 4-H goals. 💚

Thank you for supporting this hardworking girl and following along with her 4-H journey! 🐷🐰🐔🦃🍀

Clean your home. Support a kid. Build a dream.

🐰 NEW at Dead Creek Homestead! 🐾

One thing we believe strongly in here at the homestead is that when we raise an animal for a purpose, we owe that animal the very best life we can give them.

Some of our animals are raised to provide meat for our family. That doesn't mean they are loved or cared for any less.

❤️ We believe in raising them with respect, giving them a good life, and making sure they have one bad day instead of a bad life.

We’re also big believers in using as much of the animal as possible and wasting as little as we can.
That’s why we’re so excited to introduce a new product from some dear friends of ours who raise meat rabbits and share that same philosophy. 🐇❤️

🐾 100% NATURAL RABBIT DOG TREATS 🐾
These treats are made from 100% rabbit with nothing unnecessary added. Even the parts that might otherwise be discarded can become something useful for our four-legged friends!

🐇 Rabbit hides & ears — $10/bag
🐇 Rabbit organs — $5/bag
Mixed livers, lungs & hearts

The natural fur provides roughage that may help support healthy digestion, and rabbit fur has traditionally been used as a natural digestive aid. It is sometimes described as a natural deworming aid, but these treats should not replace veterinary deworming when needed.

A simple, natural treat your dog will LOVE — and one you can feel good about giving them. 🐶❤️
Good animals. Good people. Less waste. And happy dogs. 🐾

Available now at Dead Creek Homestead! 🌿🐇

🍂❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU from Dead Creek Homestead! ❤️🍂

What a weekend! We just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone who stopped at our little homestead, supported our business, grabbed some goodies, picked up a map or sticker, or simply took the time to say hello. 🥹❤️

The Farmstand Harvest Trail was such a fun way to get out, explore, and see just how many amazing small businesses and talented people we have right here in our community. We were truly honored to be a part of it!

And to all of the other businesses who opened their doors, shared their talents, and put so much time and heart into making this trail happen — you all are AMAZING! 🥰 It was so much fun seeing everyone supporting one another and watching people travel from stand to stand.

Small businesses really do mean BIG dreams, BIG hard work, and BIG hearts. Every purchase, share, like, recommendation, and visit means more than you probably realize.

Thank you for supporting Dead Creek Homestead and for supporting our little corner of the homestead dream. 🐓🌻🧺

We can't wait to see what the Christmas trail brings! ☃️🎄🎅❤️

From our family to yours — THANK YOU! 🫶

We made our way around to some of the stands participating in the Farmstand Harvest Trail and OMG… there is SO much talent right here in our area! 🥹🍂❤️

If you haven’t ventured out to do the Harvest Trail yet, I HIGHLY recommend it! Not only is it such a fun way to spend the weekend, but you get to discover some seriously amazing local makers, farmers, and small businesses. 🛍️🌾

Here are just a few of the things we found along the way:

🥨 Beneath The Maples LLC — Their smoked pretzels were SO good! 😂 The package was basically the only thing left for us to take a picture of because we couldn’t stop eating them!

💗 Where the WILD Things Farm L.L.C — Their clay earrings are ADORABLE! And the squishy-themed ones?! 😍 These are the NeeDoh ones and they are seriously too cute!

🎃 The Rusty Bucket — So many fun things, including the cutest pumpkin potpourri and painting kits for the kiddos! Perfect for some cozy fall fun. 🍁🎨

🕯️ Knotalotta Acres — Their candles smell SO good you’ll wish they were edible! 😂🤎

And that’s just a little taste of what you’ll find!

We LOVE seeing all the creativity, hard work, and heart that goes into these small businesses. ❤️ Supporting local doesn’t just mean buying something — it means supporting someone’s dream, their family, and all the time and love they pour into what they create.

So grab your people, hop in the car, and go explore the Farmstand Harvest Trail! 🚗🍂🌾

You never know what little treasure you’re going to find around the next corner! 🥰

And don’t forget to stop by Dead Creek Homestead while you’re out! 😉🧡
