Fall is for pumpkin picking, birthday parties and learning how to preserve fruits and vegetables for the winter. Our CSA is a very important part of our farm and has grown to 500 shareholders in the last ten years Each sharehold

Another night of cold temperatures and a potential frost. Our tomatoes & peppers just got tucked in for their slumber. Don’t forget to bring in your planters if you can or toss a light bedsheet over them 🌱. Hopefully this is the last cold evening 🤞

While many people are reaching for a sweatshirt today, farmers across New England are keeping a close eye on tonight’s forecast.

Temperatures are expected to drop significantly, and with clear skies overnight comes the possibility of frost. A frost at the end of May is incredibly unusual here in Massachusetts, and it can have serious consequences for farms throughout the region.

At this point in the season, fields are full of tender crops that simply aren’t built to handle freezing temperatures. Tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, sweet corn, strawberries, flowers, and many other crops can suffer damage or even be lost if temperatures dip too low.

Farming is a constant dance with the weather. We can carefully plan our plantings, prepare our soil, and do everything right, but sometimes Mother Nature reminds us who’s really in charge.

Tonight we’ll be watching the thermometer, hoping the forecast changes, and crossing our fingers that our crops, and those of our fellow farmers, make it through the night unscathed. 🌱❄️

NEW CSA ALERT! And just in time to settle on that perfect gift for Mom or any special lady in your life this Mother’s Day. This is the first year EVER we are introducing a Pre-Picked Flower CSA!! 🌼 🌺 🌹

There are limited spots! You can sign up any time, for yourself or someone else, right here on the website! https://www.tangerinisfarm.com/online-store/2026-Pre-Picked-Flower-CSA-p833326115

Enjoy a rotating selection of fresh, farm-grown flowers all season long with our Pre-Picked Flower CSA. Each week, you’ll receive a thoughtfully arranged bouquet made by Emma from what’s looking best in the field at that moment. Our flowers are grown right here on the farm using careful, hands-on practices. The mix changes throughout the season and may include favorites like strawflower, gomphrena, celosia, cosmos, rudbeckia, ammi, snapdragons, statice, scabiosa, and more, along with our summer standout, dahlias.

This is a 10-week CSA running from mid July through mid September. Bouquets can be picked up on Wednesdays or Saturdays between 9am and 7pm at the farm stand.

Expect a range of colors, textures, and shapes as the season progresses, from airy early-season stems to bold, vibrant summer blooms and rich late-season tones. A great way to bring a little bit of the farm into your home each week, or to share with someone as a gift.
