Did you know 82 years ago, the Allied forces invaded the Normandy Coast on June 6, 1944 (D-Day) on their way to liberate Europe & end WW2. Major General Ernest Harmon, while born in Massachusetts, grew up in Newbury, Vermont, served in all three major campaigns - North Africa, Italy & Western Europe. Prior to the war, Harmon attended Norwich University in Northfield, VT before moving onto West Point.
After retiring from the military, Harmon returned to Norwich, a private military university, to serve as President from 1950-1965. Thanks to all of all our soldiers, airmen, & sailors, both men & women, who served in WW2.
