It feels like a succession of beauty has landed at SOEL Farm. 🌸

First the soft pink peonies opened… then suddenly the deep velvety reds burst into bloom… and now the white buds are standing by, ready for their grand entrance.

Every morning feels like a new firework of color exploding across the peony patch. Nature is putting on a show, and honestly — the photos never capture the fragrance, the breeze, and the magic of seeing thousands of petals open in real time.

Most people know horseradish for its bite… but almost no one has seen it like this.

Right now, our horseradish is in bloom — tall, airy stems crowned with clouds of tiny white flowers, light as lace and quietly beautiful. For a moment, you’d never guess what’s hiding beneath the soil.

Because under that softness grows one of the boldest roots in the garden — sharp, fiery, unmistakable.

It’s a reminder I love on the farm: even the gentlest-looking things can carry real strength.

They’ve arrived quietly, but with undeniable presence.
My daffodils are in full bloom — luminous, unapologetic, and entirely deserving of their moment. And yet, I can’t help but think… they are still waiting for their O’Keeffe, their Rachel Ruysch — or at the very least, their Marc Quinn — to make them immortal.
Until then, I’ll do my humble best to introduce them to the world.
Look closely. They don’t just bloom — they perform.
