Long overdue updated pictures of my Blue and Black Sumatras! Fun fact! Did you know it is standard that males have multiple spurs per shank? Ideally 2-3 separate spurs on each. It’s giving EMO/Punk Rock vibes for me 😝😂😍 🖤 which may be one of the big reasons I wanted to raise them 😅 I’m so in love with this unique, extremely intelligent, stunning, and threatened breed.

Incase you can’t tell who my favorites are 😂😅 it’s absolutely my BBS Ameraucanas. This years keepers/growouts did NOT disappoint! 😍 now if my parent birds could start laying more consistently that’d be great 😂😅 I have lots of you guys wanting hatching orbs 🪺 🩵

Loving the progress of my keeper BBS Ameraucana pullets from this spring! Look at those beautiful bay eyes, full muffs, and stunning lacing ☺️🥰 Super excited for these Ameraucana girls to start laying so I can evaluate their egg colors.

What do you get when you cross a Brahma with an Ameraucana? These STUNNING sage eggs 😍 we create our F1 green eggers by placing BBS Ameraucana hens in our BBS Brahma breeding run. The offspring will be BBS in color with fluffy cheeks, feathered feet, with a calm and sweet docile demeanor 🥰. F1 (first generation) green eggers are guaranteed to lay green eggs. They inherit one copy of the blue egg gene from their Ameraucana parent and one tan egg gene from their Brahma parent, creating this gorgeous dreamy sage color! However they do not breed true for egg color! Subsequent generations could lay various shades of blue, tan, or green based on the genes they inherited from there heterozygous parents ☺️
We call them Brahmacaunas 😆
