Here is a little more about how we got started...

Our fascination with alpacas began after seeing them on Facebook. We immediately fell in love with these gentle creatures, and after a year full of research we began looking for a place to start our herd. We settled in our acreage here in Milo, Iowa, and our journey began. The barn went up, pastures plotted, fencing went up! We were ready, and beg

an with only 3 alpacas. Soon after 13 more females and 1 cria joined our herd, coming from a closing farm in Michigan. Of the 13 new girls 12 were pregnant and expecting cria the next year. The next year was full of excitement with new cria being born through the summer and fall. We had our hands full for sure. Our alpacas are healthy and well taken care of, you could say we spoil them, if they could talk, they'd agree! We love our herd, each Alpaca has a different personality and we absolutely LOVE taking care of them. Our alpacas are healthy and well cared for and are raised exclusively for their fleece and with the intention of breeding these amazing creatures to keep the population flourishing for others to enjoy. As our herd has grown, some of our babies have been adopted and moved to other loving farms around the country. Our farm is also home to 2 baby goats and soon chickens! We can't leave out Max the dog, he's always here keeping a close eye on all the other animals.

Happy Acre's is down sizing our herd. We have several male's looking for greener pastures. 4 gelded males one yearling male intact.They all have good fiber and are well mannered. None of them are registered. Must buy at least 2 or a package deal because all but 1 have been on our farm there entire life. (Priced to sell) we will miss them greatly.
