Thank you. Thank you to those who laid it all down. To those who gave it all. Who paid the ultimate price for us to live this life of freedom we have in this country.

"Thank you" will never, ever be enough🙏✝️🇺🇸🇺🇸

You may not think you have freedom in this country, but I promise, you do. Don't be so selfish that you fail to see it, because it was sacrificed for, by someone braver and more selfless, than you.

Thank you to the brave men and women, and to the families of those, who also gave everything for us. You will forever be thanked, not just today, but everyday, I thank you.

Some evenings just make you stop and thank God for the life He’s allowing you to build. 🌅

So much hard work, long days, sore muscles, adding to the garden, and learning more and more as we go every day and every year..... but what a blessing it is to grow food, tend this little piece of land, and watch His faithfulness in every season.

Beyond grateful God allows me to live this life❤️

Activist: "Your cows are putting carbon into the atmosphere."

Farmer: "Where did they get it?"

Activist: "What?"

Farmer: "The carbon. Where did the cow get it before it put it anywhere."

Activist: "From... eating?"

Farmer: "From eating grass. And where did the grass get it."

Activist: "The soil?"

Farmer: "The air. The grass pulled it out of the air last spring. The cow ate the grass. The cow breathed some of it back out. It went back into the air it came from."

Activist: "But it's still going into the atmosphere."

Farmer: "It's going back. There's a difference between a thing going somewhere and a thing going back. You've described a circle and you're frightened of it."

Activist: "Then just don't have the cow."

Farmer: "The grass still dies in autumn. It rots where it falls. The carbon goes back into the air either way, just without anyone getting fed in the middle."

Activist: "It's not that simple."

Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."

I recently started training myself to Sabbath all day on Sundays.

This may look different for you than others, but the more I do it, the easier it is and the more I look forward to it! AND the more things I remove from my normal day to day. I am training to get to the point I want it to be, the way I believe God intends for it to be like.

God gave us this day of rest and I don't understand why we don't honor it like we should.

We LET life take over, I suppose.

God gave us life and rest.

Honor Him by giving Him your day. Whether it's Saturday, Sunday, or the same consistent random week day, give Him one of your days.

Shut everything off, spend time with Him, do some self care, be 100% present with your family.

It's worth it. Otherwise God wouldn't have given it to us ❤️🙏
