Celebrate Walla Walla is right around the corner — and we’re showing up with something special.

We’re one of five wineries opening our cellar exclusively for VIP guests, pouring library wines aged 10+ years alongside Caprio Cellars, L’Ecole, Reininger, and Tranche. Plus supper by Miss Huddy’s BBQ, winemakers at your table, live music by Forrest Ray, a commemorative Riedel glass, and vineyard views you can’t find anywhere else.

30 wineries pouring across the grounds. One VIP tent worth finding. Tickets in bio — June 20 at Tranche Cellars. 🍷

Every great wine starts with a person who cares deeply about where it comes from. Meet Israel Zenteno — our Director of Winemaking, and the heart behind every bottle we make. 🍷

If you've been meaning to come in, consider this your sign.

Watermill Winery has two tasting rooms: Watermill On the Ave in Wenatchee, and Watermill on Broadway in Milton-Freewater, right at the edge of The Rocks District. Two settings, same estate wines, same warm welcome. 🍷

We pour from five vineyards we farm ourselves. Hallowed Stones Syrah. Estate Malbec. Rosé. And more — poured by people who genuinely love talking about them.

You don't need to know wine to love it here. You just need to show up.

May is Oregon Wine Month, and we're celebrating all the way to the end. 🍷

For the rest of the month, tag us on Facebook while you're enjoying a Watermill wine — at home, at our Milton-Freewater tasting room, or anywhere in between — and you'll be entered to win a $50 Watermill gift card. We'll draw a winner on May 31st.

And if you've been thinking about stocking up: every case purchase this month comes with a complimentary Watermill purple polo. Because great wine deserves great company — and a great shirt.

Link in bio to shop. Stop by and see us in Milton-Freewater. Cheers to Oregon Wine Month! 🌿

Twenty-five years of farming estate vineyards. Of making wines in volcanic basalt and silt loam and every difficult, rewarding corner of two appellations. Of sending bottles out into the world and seeing what comes back.

What comes back: 95pt Gold from Decanter. 96pt Platinum from Great Northwest Wine. Triple Double Gold from the Seattle Wine Awards. Fabulous Four Pacific Northwest Wineries of the Year. Double Golds from the San Francisco Chronicle.

We don’t make wine for the accolades. But we won’t pretend they don’t mean something.

25 years in. Still earning it. 🍷

Meet Jack Klipfel — the person who knows these vines better than anyone.

As Watermill’s Viticulturist and Vineyard Manager, Jack oversees more than 130 acres of estate vines across five vineyard sites in two of the Pacific Northwest’s most distinct appellations. He came to us with a background in plant sciences from WSU, time in USDA research, and years in the field with Gallo. But what you’ll notice when you walk the rows with him is that the credentials almost feel beside the point — he just knows this land.

Right now, we’re deep into the growing season. Every decision made in the vineyard this time of year directly shapes what ends up in the bottle. Jack doesn’t take that lightly.

When he’s not in the rows, you’ll find him on a mountain. Which honestly makes sense — farming estate vines in The Rocks District takes the same kind of patience, physical commitment, and love of difficult terrain.

This is who’s taking care of your wine.

Triple Double Gold. Not bad for a Tuesday.

The Seattle Wine Awards just recognized five of our estate wines — and three of them came home with Double Gold.

🥇 Double Gold, 94pts — 2021 Estate Merlot, Walla Walla Valley
🥇 Double Gold, 94pts — 2022 Estate Carmenere, Walla Walla Valley
🥇 Double Gold, 94pts — 2021 Estate Malbec, Walla Walla Valley
🥇 Gold, 93pts — 2021 Hallowed Stones Cabernet Sauvignon, The Rocks District
🥇 Gold, 91pts — 2023 Anna Marie Vineyard Petit Verdot, Walla Walla Valley
🥈 Silver, 88pts — 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla Valley

Six estate wines. Six vineyards. Every one of them grown by us, from ground to bottle.

We're proud — and honestly, a little grateful the judges were paying attention.

Most wineries buy grapes. We grew ours. 🍇

Not because it's easier — it isn't. But because when you farm the ground yourself, something changes. You stop thinking about wine in vintages and start thinking in seasons. In soil. In the specific way the basalt cobblestones at Hallowed Stones hold heat long after the sun goes down, or the way the Anna Marie Vineyard has looked in October since we planted it in 2001.

Five estate vineyards. Two AVAs. Every grape we make grown on ground we know by heart.

This is where it all begins. Swipe to meet each site — and the wines that come from them.

🔗 Shop estate wines at the link in bio. Or come find us in Wenatchee or Milton-Freewater and taste the difference the ground makes.
