Exciting news! Registration for the Market Sale of Goats, Sheep, and Swine kicked off on March 27th! Here are a couple of important updates for this year: the process of signing up for Pre-Fair Tag Day and the updated weight requirements for animals. There are just a few weeks left until online registration closes May 29. Pre-Fair Tag Day registration is strongly encouraged online.

Registration Process:
β€’ All sale animals must be pre-registered in ShoWorks for Pre-Fair Tag Day.
β€’ Register as if you are entering the fair, selecting the market class accordingly.
β€’ This adjustment aims to minimize confusion and avoid double registration (using both Google Forms and ShoWorks).
Updated Animal Weights:
β€’ Goats: Not exceeding 80 pounds at the pre-fair weigh-in. During the fair, a minimum of 65 pounds and maximum of 125 pounds.
β€’ Sheep: Not exceeding 110 pounds at the pre-fair weigh-in. During the fair, a minimum of 110 pounds and maximum of 170 pounds.
β€’ Swine: During the fair, a minimum of 240 pounds and maximum of 300 pounds.
Scrapie Tag & Premise/Electronic ID Tag: These tags are mandatory to registration for Pre-Fair Tag Day.
β€’ Goat & Sheep: The tag number typically includes the state of purchase (WA, OR, ID) followed by a sequence number, e.g., WA-1234-1234.
β€’ Swine: Premise ID – Example – 00R29J5ID and the Herd Tag/Ear Notch – Example – 840-123-428-039-847
β€’ If you know the tag numbers, please enter them online (optional) otherwise leave boxes blank

Spring cleaning has brought lots of changes around here. Barn has been completely stripped down to dirt and will be this way until our new pens arrive! We are hoping with a few more changes and seeing how everything goes we can possibly start having fall lambs again in the near future!
