A customer just got these beautiful 5lbs of berries picked in 45 minutes! Come get yours before they’re gone for this year!
In case any of you are interested…
😃👍
(No, this isn’t us, please contact Dixie Acres Farm for more info.☺️)
Ok, so life throws us glitches here and there. Or you feel like you are on the hot grill. I keep being reminded to just expect the unexpected in farming and life in general. Well, this week is one of those. It is supposed to be 104 F in College Place tomorrow so they have cancelled farmer's market for tomorrow.
We have amazing, organically grown produce ready to serve your health and happiness.
To make it easier (cooler!) For you AND us, we are offering free delivery on all online orders over $30 this week. If you aren't home, just leave a cooler on your porch.
Please help us out and your family by still getting your produce. We will keep our online store open until 11am tomorrow morning to give you a little more time to order.
Green beans, cherry tomatoes, raspberries, salad greens, grilling veggies, and more.
It’s coming to the end - come get your berries before they’re gone!
(We plan to be open through Monday July 24th unless they are all gone before that.)
In case the photo isn’t loading, our end of Season sale starts Thursday July 20th: $2.50/lb upick - picked berries are not on sale and are subject to availability.

Did you forget a water bottle here?
We are in our 4Th week of harvest. Picking is easy right now, but don't wait to long - we usually don't pick for much more than a month. 😅
The picking is amazingly easy right now as well!
This will be the 4th week of harvest and since we usually go for about a month, next week will be the beginning of the end. We'll keep the page updated, but since the weather has been relatively cool it should last a bit longer than a month. 😁
Tomorrow, Monday July 10th, will be 3 weeks since harvest ‘23 began. It usually lasts about a month, so we could be done in as little as a week. The weather hasn’t been too bad, so it could stretch out as long as early August, but that has only happened once before, so don’t count on it.😅

A sneak peek of our new additions!😁
And yes, it’s quite hazy/smoky here today, but the forecast says it should clear up at some point tomorrow!☺️👍
Update: We’ve had a request for 6:30 tomorrow, July 1st, so we’ll be open then!☺️👍

Come out early to pick (or pick up) your 4th of July blueberries in the cool morning hours!
Gabriel picked some monsters last night and already filled two containers this morning! So if you want picked berries come and get ‘em!😎 There are tons left to pick as well!🫐🤩🫐
The bushes are loaded with berries right now - blue in every direction!
It is hot this week, so remember that you can call the day before to schedule an earlier start to beat the heat!
🫐🌱🌄🌿🫐
Evenings begin to cool down around 7pm, so 7-9pm is also great time to pick and you get the bonus of watching the sunset!🌅
It’s also good to bring water bottles and thick soled shoes!👟🥾😎👍
They crossed 2 state lines to get here and picked 92 pounds of berries!! 😱
I’ve never seen the wagon so full!
Gabriel found some monster chandlers this afternoon!
We’ve caught up with the orders and now have a limited stock of freshly picked berries!
Apparently we are not receiving all the messages we are sent! I apologize if we missed one from you. Please feel free to call or text me at:

We were worried about how the berries would respond to the heat, but they are doing alright! The Bee Keeping Santa, Chuck Hudgins, picked these beautiful 4.5lbs of berries this morning!🫐🤩🫐
An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for much of the area through early Saturday night with the possibility of the heat continuing on Sunday! The hottest temperatures will be seen Thursday and Friday in the Columbia Basin and lower elevations where temperatures will soar around 110 F, about 14 to 18 degrees above seasonable temperatures. Meanwhile, there will be limited relief from overnight lows as temperatures of mid 60s to lower 70s will only enhance the heat wave. These conditions combined with the protracted duration will prompt increased potential for heat-related illnesses.
Remember to hydrate, protect, and plan! Run errands in the morning when temperatures are lower. NEVER leave children or pets in a vehicle! Check on your friends, family, and neighbors to make sure that they are ok.

End of season sale started Sunday the 24th!
We will be opening earlier in the mornings next week…6am perhaps - (You can always call us if you’d like to come before 8am.) The heat will also speed up the end of harvest, so today and tomorrow will be the days to beat the heat and be assured of getting berries!
Next week will likely see the hottest temperatures of the year thus far. How hot? The graphic on the right shows the probability of exceeding 100, 105, and 110 degrees on Thursday the 28th for select locations. The graphic on the left shows our deterministic forecast for the next week.

The Dukes have the reputation of being large, and perhaps there is a higher percentage of big Duke blueberries, but Gabriel just bought in these monster Chandler berries that are “oh, so sweet” as well!! 🫐🌱🫐

The fridge is stocked with lots of sweet Duke blueberries - I was getting a little low on Chandlers…but Gabriel just brought in some more!☺️
The picking is excellent right now, too!!
We are finding some monster sized blueberries these days!🤩
A prime example of why evening picking is my favorite!!🥰
I’ve been enjoying our view of a thundercloud passing by, and I was delighted by this little wave like cloud with a curly cue that matches our sign!😁
We’re enjoying a natural fireworks show this evening!☺️
Almost !
We had a very dramatic thundercloud spreading overhead and I couldn’t resist snapping photos of its wonderful mammatus formations! (Expand to get the full vertical panoramic effect.😎)
We enjoyed a bit of thunder and a few sprinkles, but it has moved on towards the mountains now, so evening picking should be fine!☺️
I got some liquid gold today!! Thank you Chuck!!
His number is on the label, but to make it easier I’ll put it here: 541 861-9662 -Bee Keeping Santa $22 for the quart.
Gabriel and I couldn’t decide which packaging option we liked the best, so we got them all! 😁 The small ones just arrived yesterday, so let us know what your favorite is! 😎
