We couldn’t wait to share this one, salted maple Caramel sauce. Unbelievably delicious 😋 is all we can say.

Recipe:
2 cups Monkey Bear farm pure NH maple syrup. We prefer the dark robust for this one.
4 tablespoons unsalted butter.
1/2 cup heavy cream
Sea salt or kosher salt to taste. Start at 1/4 teaspoon and adjust to taste.

Bring maple syrup to boil in large pot , it may foam up do watch closely and turn down heat to keep from boiling over. Bring syrup to 125-130 deg. On candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add butter. Slowly stir until butter melts and then add cream and salt. Stir slowly until just combined. Stirring too much or vigorously may cause sugar crystals to form and give a granular texture. Pour into heat safe containers and let cool.

Try not to eat it all at once😁.

Gotta love free range chickens! Cleaning up an old pile of scrap wood and lookie what we found. An unauthorized egg deposit 🤪. No wonder egg collections are down this summer. And it’s not just one of them, it’s like monkey see monkey do down at monkey Bear farm…..

Monkey Bear farm pure NH Maple Syrup can be used in all kinds of recipes. This weekend we used some to make home made maple walnut ice cream😋. Cream, milk, pure maple syrup ( very dark, strong taste ), egg yolks and walnuts, that’s it. Cook, cool, and mix.

Of course we couldn’t stop there, to kick it up a notch, we used duck egg yolks for their super dense and rich texture. These eggs made an ultra creamy ice cream treat.

Our walnuts were also candied with maple sugar prior to mixing them in, this gives them a super maple kick and crunch that paired beautifully with the creamy texture of the ice cream.

And no, that cone did not last long after the photo shoot was done😎. Yum!

You never know until you try😁. Our little farm stand does not receive the traffic necessary to maintain regular fresh stocking of our herbs. We will still be placing some out in our fridge as time permits us to do so but the variety will vary.

Since we love to accommodate where we can, we will try and package special requests of any of our herbs. Send us a message and if we are available we will box up your request as soon as we can for you.

Some of our herbs: thyme, basil, purple basil, lemon basil, lettuce leaf basil, oregano, parsley, sage, rosemary, nasturtiums, and even buzz buttons on request.

And as the seasons change so do our selections out at our stand. In addition to our year round maple products we bring out herbs, vegetables, eggs and other items when available.

Our new order is in and later this week we will have tee shirts back in stock. In addition to tee shirts we are adding some hoodies to our swag selection 😁. A bit warm out now but no time like the present to grab one for the cooler days a coming😎.

Fresh cut herbs now available at our farm stand.

All of our herbs and vegetables are started and grown by us. Herb assortment will vary through the growing season.
