FROM THE FARMER 🌿 | Monday, August 31
One of the strangest things about farming flowers is that you can walk the same field every morning and somehow see something completely different.
A new bloom.
A crop that suddenly decided it was ready.
A row that looked tired yesterday and is full of color today.
And sometimes… a flower you’ve been waiting months for finally decides to show off.
We’re heading into that beautiful transition between summer and fall here at By The Bloom, and the fields are changing quickly.
The days are getting a little shorter, the mornings have a different feeling, and the flower lineup is beginning to shift.
But the fields aren’t the only thing changing around here.
Over the past week, we’ve continued giving more of the farm buildings their much-needed facelifts. Another project checked off the list, another space transformed, and another little piece of this farm beginning to look the way we’ve imagined it.
We’re down to just ONE more building that needs its complete facelift this month.
It’s hard to explain what it feels like to watch this place transform one building, one room, one field and one project at a time.
There’s still plenty of work ahead.
There’s still dust, dirt, long days and a very long project list.
But there’s also a growing sense that all of this hard work is finally beginning to come together.
And this week, we’re excited to share the beginning of something new.
INTRODUCING THE BLOOM SOCIETY
Launching this October, The Bloom Society will be a new way to bring a little piece of By The Bloom home with you—not just through flowers, but through growing them yourself.
And our very first Bloom Society experience will begin with something near and dear to us:
DAHLIAS
We’ll be kicking things off with a Dahlia Course this fall, where we’ll dig into growing, planting, storing and caring for these incredible flowers so you can grow more of them in your own garden.
More details are coming soon, but consider this your first little peek at what we’ve been dreaming up.
The farm is changing.
The buildings are changing.
The flowers are changing.
And now, we’re creating new ways for you to grow alongside us. 🌿
