Happy 27th Birthday to one of the most special horses in our barn! 🎉🐴❤️

Twenty-seven is an incredible milestone for any horse, and this amazing boy has earned every bit of the love and celebration he gets today.

Over the years, he has safely carried countless riders, taught so many lessons, built confidence, and helped create memories that will last a lifetime. He has truly been the definition of a schoolmaster and a best friend.

Now he is enjoying his well-deserved retirement, spending his days relaxing and hanging out with his beloved “mini” friends.

We are so grateful for everything he has given to our barn and to everyone lucky enough to know him. Happy Birthday to a true legend—you are deeply loved! 💙

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Crooked Creek Farm! 🌸🐴

We spent the day doing what we love most—at the horse show with our barn family. Another wonderful show is in the books, and I couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group of riders, horses, and families.

One of the best parts of this sport is that every weekend brings new opportunities to learn and grow. No matter the results, we always come home with something to improve on and goals to work toward.

Weekend Highlights ✨

* 🏆 Ember & Shady — Champion in both the 1.0m and .90m divisions.
* 🐴 Ember & Willow — Put in great rounds in the Schooling Pony and Pony Hunters, continuing to make excellent progress.
* 💪 Kade & Clifford — Showed increased confidence and stronger rounds in both the Modified and Pre-Adult divisions.
* 🌟 Leigh & Louis — Rocked the weekend, earning Champion in the Performance Hunters and the 15–17 Equitation.
* 🥈 Sienna & Kirby — Reserve Champion in the 11 & Under division. Special thanks to the Falcon Ridge team and our own Gracie for helping with Kirby in the Performance Hunters.
* ⭐ Chloe & Gus — Superstars this weekend! They handled a new ring beautifully, put in several strong trips, and moved up to the Thoroughbred Hunters. This pair is becoming something very special.
* 🥈 Cayden & Rouge — Reserve Champion in the Performance Hunters, highlighted by excellent rounds and a win in the 15–17 Equitation Flat.
* 👏 Caroline & Quinn — Continue to progress nicely with some fabulous rounds in the Thoroughbred Hunters and Pre-Children’s.
* 💙 Kerrington & Knox — Still learning together as they move into the Children’s Hunters. Saturday was challenging, but Kerrington came back on Sunday with a positive attitude and delivered beautiful rounds. Thank you to Cayden for helping with Knox.

So proud of the support, teamwork, and determination this group shows each weekend. Ready for a great week of work at home as we keep building toward the next show! 💙🐎

Something different at the farm today! Had .equestrian out for a desensitizing clinic. Something different and fun to do and help the kids along with learning even more with their horses. Then… the barn also got to be the prom photo spot. Got to see Cayden and her friends all dressed up, Beautifully, for prom. What fun!

Happy 23rd birthday to the most incredible red-headed mare there ever has been ❤️

There truly aren’t enough words to describe how special you are. You’ve been more than just a horse—you’ve been a partner, a teacher, a confidence builder, and a once-in-a-lifetime kind of soul. I pray that maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to have another like you, but the truth is… there will only ever be one you.

You’ve carried so many riders, taught so many lessons, and given countless memories that will last forever. From the show ring to the barn aisle, you’ve always had a way of making people feel something—whether it was confidence, joy, or just pure admiration. Everywhere you go, people know you… and for good reason. You’ve more than earned your title as a bit of a local legend.

I feel beyond blessed to have shared you with so many and to have been a part of your story. Thank you for everything you’ve given, and everything you continue to be.

Here’s to 23 years of greatness—and many more full of love, treats, and well-deserved admiration 💕🐴
