WE ARE STILL ON THE MAIN MISSION! Bike food to hungry pals. We get the food from Just One More Ministry , Three Sisters Community Farm , and neighbors like you! Thank you for providing!

Though we have done some events this summer, our focus is still delivering hot meals on bicycles! Thank you to all of our volunteers. A big thank you to Jordan Moon for fixing all of our bikes!

Featured here are photos of curry, burritos, black bean elote dip (a crowd favorite), not chicken stir fry, burgers, more bean dip, and our events!

Over the past couple of months we have received HUGE support from Nate of RiverBEAST , as well as so many mystery donors. Thank you so much!

Thank you all for sharing and caring. Maybe we will check into the internet again some time next year 🙃

THE VOLUNTEERS AND THE PATRONS! This event only exists with both of them. For those of you who spent your time to help us serve people (and especially those of you who jumped in unplanned), we are so grateful!

To any and everyone that showed up to dance, eat, be merry, learn, laugh, share, give, receive - thank you so much.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the amazing talents and entertainers from our block party!

The audience was blessed with African drum and dance from Artist Fka Juju , Italian folk music and dance from Tradizione Vivente , a blend of genres and tempos from Larie Norwood , and a finale of Latin music by the ever fun and talented Los Mitoteros .

Thank you all for sharing the versatility of sound and culture in Milwaukee. It was an honor to listen, laugh, learn, and dance with you. 🎶💃🎤🪘

HI WE ARE HERE WITH A FOUR MONTH LATE RECAP!

Give it up for our vendors! The first two photos are our president Cam’Ron and our vice president Lexie, who helped orchestrate this entire event on a volunteer basis (they always do). So much of what we do is not possible without them, and we are so grateful for their physical, intellectual, fiscal, emotional, and social support year round.

THE VENDORS! Everyone came to provide you with a marvelous experience! Crafts, home resources, food, clothing, health resources, education, bubbles, joy, woohoo! All for the love of you!

We hope you got to experience what they had to offer, and we are so grateful to have had their knowledge and passion!

The last photo is of Sandra, the Executive director of Victory Garden Initiative . She not only hosted us yet again, but supported our vision for this block party as well as bringing so many vendors together. Thank you so much for what you do Dr.Sandra!

IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN MILWAUKEE! Welcome back to the internet! We join you here to share what’s been up. After that we really hope to see you outside! 🌳☀️🛝

Here we have featured some recent meals: teriyaki tofu and scalloped potatoes, sandwiches & salads, stir fried rice noodles, antipasto sandwiches, and elote bean dip. 🥪🥗🍟

We also have an incredible amount of beautiful plant donations from our amazing partners Three Sisters Community Farm ! They provide us with organic produce all throughout the summer and fall. Their donations make the basis for our meals, with donations from Just One More Ministry completing every meal! To-go containers are generously donated from lots of community members who drop them off to us! WE COULDN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU! 👩‍🌾🥬🥔🥕

Then photos of our leveled up bike trailer, courtesy of the man himself Jordan Moon 🚴‍♂️, as well as meals donated from Sharaka Berry of foodforhealthwi ! They also donated ALL of our temp-safe bags! Thank you! 🙏

Ok! That’s it! We will give a block party recap one day eventually for sure! But there’s food to run. People in this city don’t eat, have you heard? And there’s actually TONS of food to feed them! AND PEOPLE ARE THROWING IT AWAY!? We promise to take that food and make it taste good and dish it out for free, always (or at least until this very intentional problem stops). 🍽️

ARE YOOOOOU READY TO PARTY?!☀️🌳🎉

Our block party with Victory Garden Initiative is this coming Sunday from 12pm-5pm and it will be a HOOT! 📣We still need lots of volunteers, please see the last slide to check out options and time slots! Send us a message if you’d like to help! 🫂📥

Summer is here and hot and poppin. If you can, keep a water in your car to give away to people who are spending a lot (or all) of their time outside. It changes everything!💧

IT’S SUMMER TIME BAYBEE! ☀️🌳🌻 You staying cool out there Milwaukee? Riding those bikes? Smiling at strangers? We hope so!

Here are some photos of recent events, sauce runs, our new kitchen space, farm donations, and our block party poster! Let’s dive in!

We handed out 800lbs of fruit at ! Big thanks to Jordan, Chris, Montana, and Alejandro for all of the help, we could not have done it without you. 🍉🫂🍇

The meals featured here are eggplant rollatinis, chili, taco kits, and mushroom ravioli! We also had some sandwich and salad runs! 🌮🍝🥪

The kitchen is coming along! We are so excited to start cooking there and to finally host volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to help us over the years! 🔪⏲️🍳

We have just started receiving our produce donations from ! They donate fresh produce to us ALL summer, and their contribution is a huge reason that we can prepare such wholesome meals for Milwaukee. In partnership with them and , we are blessed to be able to prepare many more meals this year than ever before. THANK YOU! 🥬🍅🥒🥕

HERE WE GO YALL ITS BLOCK PARTY TIME! We are THRILLED to be having our 6th annual block party as a joint party with ! This year we are coming with as many resources and fun activities as possible. Please do join us there and PLEASE reach out if you are able to volunteer! Lots of shifts and options starting at 10am and ending at 6pm! SEE YOU THERE! 🎤📆🎉

We also have a favor to ask, dear internet friends. Would you mind keeping some water bottles or fruit or easy to chew snacks in your car? As you drive around, you may find yourself in a position to hydrate or feed your fellow Milwaukee citizen on a hot day. Maybe, MAYBE, you’d even be on a bicycle?! Meaning you might have a hug for them too?! WHO KNOWS! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! 🍊

IIIIIT’S A BEAUTIFUL MORNING AND OOHWEE ARE WE THRILLED TO BE HERE WITH YOU, MILWAUKEE! ☀️🍃

Photos of some recent food runs and our most recent grocery store pop-up :). First of all, if you have a building and you would like to fill it with a pop-up grocery store some time, please let us know! We focus on street and home deliveries, but the need is high and we would be happy to do that whenever we can! For free of course. 🍎🛒🥖

Next, a moment for those burritos. Wow, we did not photograph the finished product for hot food reasons but they were in the top five things we have ever made. 🌯

Next, we are looking for volunteers for our food booth at on May 30th! Shifts starting at 10am and going until 6pm. We are serving fruit, so you’d have to put fruit in cups and smile at the community. Hit us up if that sounds fun! 🤜🤛

Last and certainly not least, WE HAVE CONFIRMED OUR BLOCK PARTY! We will be joining forces with once more on Sunday, June 28th from 12-5pm. Please do mark the date. This fundraiser is entirely for the block party! We have quite a lineup for you this year, and we are thrilled. 🎉🎶🍔

HAPPY MILWAUKEE DAY! 💙💛🌊☀️ Today is the five year anniversary of our first ever sauce run 🙂. Since then, with so much help from all of you, we come to you today bearing hecka good news!

Firstly, our presentation has gotten better, wouldn’t you say? Wouldn’t you eat that for free? You can! What a life! 🍝🌯🥙🍓

On the first sauce run, we didn’t have a trailer. Now we have five, all donated! All of our bike supplies were donated! All of the to-go containers were donated! And for the first time ever, ALL OF THE FOOD IS DONATED! 🙌🍎🫂 (when food is donated, you can often miss essential items like oils, spices, etc). Big thanks to forever.

We are now at a point where we have enough support to gather enough food, WHICH IS PERFECTLY GOOD AND FAR BEFORE EXPIRING, to throw free grocery parties! The next one is on Friday, April 24th at . Be there or be 🟧.

Last and most of all, our homie Chris gave us a free and functioning kitchen. For free. SAUCE HAS A KITCHEN! AHHH! We just need to deep clean and spruce it up. Then we can finally host all of the lovely volunteers who want to help! Thank you Chris, woah. 💕

Sauce runs on my bicycle and in my kitchen, only possible with your assistance. With help and hopes and a clear vision, it’s all coming to fruition.

The real dream is that everybody eats good food and that Sauce Milwaukee does not need to exist. If there’s high quality food going in the garbage daily, billions of pounds of it, why would a city go hungry? Wouldn’t it seem that this food scarcity is intentional? Wouldn’t lack of access to healthy food, or any food, seem ridiculous and schemed when it’s actually totally available? WOULDN’T IT BE WEIRD IF THERE WAS PLENTY OF FOOD IN THE USA AND CERTAIN PEOPLE WERE STARVED ON PURPOSE?! That’d be crazy right?!
