Our mission is to provide children and adults with healthy, fresh and fun alternatives to frozen desserts and drinks loaded with sugar, preservatives, artificial ingredients and who knows what else, while helping in the fight against metastatic breast cancer. In 2013, Linnea, our founder, was diagnosed with Stage 4 (metastatic) breast cancer at the age of 34. After a year filled with life-saving t
reatments that included 6 months of chemotherapy, 33 radiation treatments, and multiple surgeries, Linnea was forced to slow down her life. At the strong suggestion of her oncologist, she left her full-time job to stay at home and spend time with her husband and two young girls, ages 5 and 4 at the time. Linnea began thinking of fun summer activities to do with her daughters, and now with her history of cancer, she wanted to limit artificial ingredients and unnecessary added sugar in her girls' treats. They started making home-made pops with fresh fruits and natural ingredients they found at the stores. Then, never one to pass up a good time and always looking to share great food and creative cocktails with her family and friends, Linnea started adding alcohol to the pops and called them 'Liqkers'. She always jokes that since she lives in Milwaukee, adding alcohol to the Pops was the next natural progression! And that's how Linnea's Pops & Liqkers was born. In 2016, Linnea's Pops & Liqkers started a non profit organization, Pops on a Mission. A portion of all Linnea's Pops & Liqkers' proceeds are donated to Pops on a Mission and 100% of your donations to Pops on a Mission go directly to the cause. Linnea has already beaten many metastatic odds. "I want to be able to live a life where I don't seem or feel sick," she says. "I want to watch my girls grow up and have children of their own. A cure in my lifetime would be amazing, but until then, funding for more metastatic treatment options and better treatments for a better quality of life is also needed." Linnea is also Milwaukee and Wisconsin proud, so whenever possible she sources her ingredients locally, making these treats extra special to the community. Life is too short not to enjoy it.
