🎡 COME WITH US TO THE WISCONSIN STATE FAIR! 🎡
A Wisconsin summer tradition and a MUST for everyone in the state! 🤠🎠🍗🍦
📅 August 6–16, 2026
Every year, the Wisconsin State Fair has its own Sporkies (best new food) and Drinkies (best new drink) awards. The entries are submitted by participating vendors and judged by a panel.
Our first stop every year? The Information Center to grab a park map AND the food map. Yes, young folks, we know y’all can’t read a map 😂 but they’re there, so grab one!
We tried to list everything in roughly the order of our preferences, but VOTE IN THE POLL and drop your own State Fair must-haves in the comments! 👇🏾
And yes, we already know what we’re missing. Some things were left off on purpose because we’ve never been fans. 😂
🍴 THE FOOD & DRINKS
🌭 Cream City Cone — Wurstbar
Very dill and mustard-forward. Not bad at all! The salt from the pretzel helps balance it out. It’s kinda small, though, and most of the flavor is concentrated at the top instead of flowing throughout the cone.
🥥 Deep Fried Horchata Balls — Badger Bites
Pretty good! Kinda like a Mexican Almond Joy.
🔥 Birria Flamin’ Bombs — Fiesta Grill & Cantina
Not bad, but they don’t taste like much on their own. BUT… that sauce they gave us? FIRE. 🔥
🥛 WSFP Foundation Milk House
S’mores was our favorite flavor, followed by Root Beer. We weren’t really fans of the Birthday Cake or Red Velvet. And these Blue Ribbon Brownies? Somebody needs to revoke those ribbons. 😂 No bueno.
🐷 Tinga Tango Chicharrones — Blue Moon Tavern at the Park
The chicharrones themselves aren’t seasoned at all, but if you get a bite with the pickled onions and all the toppings… 🔥🔥🔥 We just wish they spread the toppings out more.
🍒 Tart Cherry Juice — Wisconsin Cherry Growers
🔥🔥🔥🔥 Exactly what we needed.
🍺 Soft Serve Beer — Bud Pavilion
We got Raspberry New Glarus and you taste it immediately. Great idea and a fun combination!
🌭 Churro Dog — Badger Bites
We don’t know what this bread is doing here 😂 and this definitely should come with a utensil. Great flavor combination, though!
🍕 Al Pastor Pizza — Charlie’s Pizza
Maybe it was the lime we squeezed on it, but there was A LOT going on between the pineapple, guac and pastor. It’s good, but we wouldn’t order it again.
🥟 Cheddar Garlic Longanisa Lumpia — Lumpia City
The lumpia tastes good, but that banana ketchup is the STAR. ⭐️
🍊 Orange Creamsicle Lemonade — Badger Bites
Loved it! Great flavor and super refreshing.
🥜 PBJ Saddle Bags — Big Sky Country
HELLA sweet 😂 Like a fried Uncrustable drizzled with Hershey’s syrup.
🍭 Cotton Candy Lemonade — Saz’s
We spiked ours 😂 It was okay, but definitely give it a good stir.
🍺 Cream Puff Ale — Leinenkugel’s
We love the creativity! Tastes a little weird at first, but definitely worth trying.
🌶️ Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks — Badger Bites
Not as messy as we expected. Doesn’t taste like much on its own, but that dipping sauce that comes with it? Valid.
🍕 Pepperoni Pizza — Pistol Pete’s
It’s okay, but the dill pickle pizza vendor’s pizza is WAY better.
🥩 Arancini Italian Beef & Giardiniera Peppers — Pistol Pete’s
We LOVE Italian beef and giardiniera, so we really wanted to love these. Unfortunately, this just tasted like a regular meatball to us. No.
🍹 Frozen Margarita — Pop’s
We mixed all the flavors together… blah.
🐔 Puggets — Dale Z’s
Chicken nuggets in a chicharron breading. Seven little nuggets for $9 and VERY dill-forward. No. 😂 But we appreciate the creativity!
🍪 White Chocolate Chip Cookie — Wisconsin Cranberries
NOPE. Subway is smoking these. 😂
