Hey all, last week was a great way to spend a few sunny June days. Unfortunately, due to the constantly changing labor conditions in the service industry right now, I have to temporarily shut down operations, as I have to focus on getting my main restaurant, Devil's Dill Sandwiches, ready for full reopening. When I started this project we had no idea the labor shortage that would be going on this summer, and so as it came closer and closer, it was more apparent how thin our organization would become with me opening Cascade Chili. I learned a lot about running a food cart this past week, and I will be back as soon as it's feasible to reopen.
It was incredibly humbling and illuminating to see all those that came out last week, from all over the area, to give our little cart a try. I hope it brought up memories of the old country, and I hope to be able to continue this work as soon as possible. Thanks all!
