We are honored to have purchased the entirety of the Aldrich Dorset flock. When Duane called and spoke of selling his flock to someone to continue his work- it was one of those opportunities you don’t let pass. It honestly stopped us in our chore routine. We have enjoyed getting to know Duane (and family) more ever since we began purchasing a few ewes from him over the past 4 years.

We are very grateful to be entrusted with Duane’s Dorset flock, and look forward to continuing the stewardship of his genetics. They are settled in nicely with our flock and spring breeding plans are already in the works.

Thank you to Duane and Mary for their hospitality in South Dakota. We certainly enjoyed our quick visit to DeSmet and the meals shared together over the weekend.

We look forward to growing the Dorset portion of our flock and offering more sheep for sale in the future.

Peaceful on the ridge this evening. Soon we’ll be preg checking for fall lambs and planning commercial spring lambing. Nice to see the flock all together for this short window.

We are grateful for this past weekend in Ohio. It was wonderful to see our sheep family at yet another successful sale.

When naming our next Dorset stud buck, Virgil, the world champion white bucking horse, rose to the top of the list. Many in rodeo have said- “The thing with Virgil is he’s a very large animal, to be as athletic as he is at his size is what makes him so unreal.”

We think that pretty well describes ‘Virgil’ the Senior Champion Ram at the Ohio Dorset Sale from Wolkow Dorsets. This Haymaker son was an outlier piece at the sale, and we are excited to see what he does to our flock.

When buck shopping you hope a stud buck like Virgil is offered for sale.

The dust has settled. We are grateful for our buyers at the 2026 Ohio Dorset Sale!

Stay tuned for the announcement of our next stud buck from Wolkow Dorsets. We’re looking to turning him in with ewes soon for his first lamb crop.

We look forward to being back in Greenville in month with two Romney fall ewe lambs in tow.

Beautiful day in Greenville, Ohio for a sheep show. We’ve brought two ewe lambs sired by Distinguished. Make note - these will be the last ewe lambs to leave the farm, as we lost him this past week.

Both of these ewes are what we are working to replicate. We feel these are the best from our fall crop. Sale time is 10 AM Saturday!

Typical Wisconsin spring - no idea what season it actually is here. We prioritized getting sheep washed before this storm came through.
