This week the Mineral Point Market is Friday July 3rd from 3:00-6:00pm. On Saturday Water Tower Park will be full of 4th of July activities, so we've moved the Market back by a day so you can stock up for the weekend. I'll have radishes, red and green and napa cabbage, salad fix'ins, beets, chard, kale, cucumbers, zucchini, sugar snap peas, scallions, and more. See you tomorrow!

Thursdays I have the WHOLE crew cranking out a lot of work. That's Gabe, Madelyn, Frannie, and me, with Krista (my Thursday farm queen!) taking the pic. The summer crew has started, and things are about to get a little less hectic. Yay! After a day of harvesting with my crew, I had to scramble to get in some evening planting before much-needed rain on Friday. What a lovely night. Come get some lovely carrots (sans soil) tomorrow at the Mineral Point Market. Use those tops in pesto or Deborah Madison's Carrot Top Soup. I love this recipe. Late May is crunch time on a veggie farm. Warm season crops need planting, planted crops need hoeing and trellising, cover crops need mowing, everything needs water (sheesh it's dry!), and mature crops need harvesting. The Mineral Point Market opens this Saturday May 2nd and I'll be there with some food! It's been a wild spring, but most field plantings have been put in on time in between the storms. This Saturday I will have lots of spinach and salad mix, mini bok choi, radishes, Swiss chard, rhubarb, arugula, and salad turnips. Grab some coffee and come say "hi". See you under the Water Tower!
