The last of this year’s honey supers got spun out today and now the clean up crew is taking care of cleaning them up before they go back into storage.

After spinning out the last of this season's honey from my bees (still have another round from another farm) I put the sticky boxes outside for the clean up crew. There aren't many nectar sources left for the season, so the girls are eager to clean up all the honey they can.

Once these are cleaned up, the frames will go in the freezer for a couple of days, and the boxes will get cleaned up and repaired if needed. Then the frames will go back in the boxes, and put into storage until next year.

Another busy weekend on the farm. Picked up a swarm of bees 🐝 Friday night, spent Saturday morning at the Mineral Point Market, managed to get away and spend Saturday afternoon at our camper, then back home Sunday afternoon and spun out another 350 or so pounds of honey🍯.

It’s a beautiful morning on the farm! Was nice to have some help loading the truck for the Mineral Point Market too!

I told her the fence wasn’t going to keep the bees contained but we put it up anyway. 🤣
