I put 2 of these across my barn door and so far they have worked great for helping keep the bugs, especially flies to a minimum!

Darrel's a smart pup! He has discovered the coolest place in the house to lay down....the ac vent in the kitchen!

The battle with the fox is going terrible...looks like it got possibly 6 hens today, one of which was my beautiful Rosita😢 No more free ranging for the rest of the flock. And we had to reinforce the coop yesterday because it appears a coyote tried to break through the hardware cloth a couple nights ago and almost succeeded. It seems we will have to keep my .22 loaded and ready for when they appear next time.

My little boy is growing way too fast! Darrel turned 4 months old this week. He had a vet visit yesterday, was 36 pounds and is now fully vaccinated. He is starting to get his adult teeth and the vet thinks he will be 100+ pounds. He has his last puppy class today.

Not the way we wanted to spend Easter. Marc was admitted Friday and will be here at least through tonight. Severe ulcerative colitis flareups are no joke.

I have reached that point in my life when a storm comes, I go out on the porch and say, "We need this." 😄 I remember being terrified of storms as a child and now, I live for a good thunderstorm!
