big food see a trends on jumps on it. the issue is they use the cheapest source of protein possible like conventional pea or soy, which will have higher pesticide residue.

the bigger issue is all the filler, ultraprocessed ingredients added in addition to the protein too.

this doesn’t happen without your support over the last 5 years. you demanded better real food options and now one of the largest grocery stores in the country has them.

this goes to show, that we the people have the power when it comes to our food. every shopping trip is a vote for a real food future. 🤍 🕊️

having worked at a big food company, this almost always happens to some degree.

not at first, but usually within 2-4 years depending on the business.

think about it, a lot of these “health brands” are a fraction of the big food company’s crown jewel billion dollar brands.

they are bought for 3x sales meaning they need to triple their sales to return value.

when growth stalls, cheap ingredients follow. either to amplify taste or squeeze more margin out of the product.

not always the case - i think primal kitchen and hu chocolate have done a great job staying true to their mission but likely racing to make lofty growth expectations set by the big food parent.

always read your labels especially if your go-to brand has been bought out.

started from my garage, now at walmart, cleaning up cereal with real food 🚀

this is a huge moment. no 100% family owned cereal has ever done this and it’s bc of you.

thank you for your believing in lovebird and voting for real food.

it’s not easy, but it’s necessary. box by box we are making a BIG difference in our food but also taking down corporations that have put their profit above our health for far too long.

we have outsourced our food to faceless corporations who profit at the expense of our health.

they design new synthetic food additives and pesticides to maximize profit.

the result is 60% of our diet is junk food and 76% of the population has at least one chronic disease.
