Hello Everyone,
Today the city is working on Steven’s Avenue. right in front of the food pantry! No parking on Steven’s Avenue. We do not know if they will finish today, or may be working on the street tomorrow! We are open normal hours-9:30 to Noon!

Hola a todos: La ciudad está realizando obras en Steven’s Avenue, justo enfrente de la despensa de alimentos. No se permite estacionar en Steven’s Avenue. ¡No sabemos si terminarán hoy o si seguirán trabajando en la calle mañana! Estén preparados. Estamos abiertas horas normales-9: 30 al mediodía!

Thank you to Christina Geese for the beautiful pictures. This panel, which is installed in the 1st Avenue windows, serves as a nod to Simpson Church's stained glass. Simpson Church was there from the 1880s to 2019, when it closed its doors. Simpson Food Pantry is named after this beacon in the Whittier Neighborhood that helped people for 140 years.

Truly a wonderful day with our new friends Temzin and Lopsong. They helped with pre bagging bulk fruits and vegetables and helped serv over 450 guests today. We were also honored with their blessing while being present Khata scarfs!

Mary (Hague) Gates of Roseville and St. Anthony Village MN, passed away March 7, 2026.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25th at Hennepin Ave United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave Mpls, with gathering time at 10 am and the service at 11 am. A luncheon will follow the service.
