Happy Mother’s Day
It’s been said that becoming a mother makes you realize you can do almost anything one-handed — and oh, how true that is.
Cooking, cleaning, feeding the dog, carrying one child on your hip while another is coloring nearby — sometimes on the wall — so many moms, aunties, gigis, grandmas, and caregivers know that beautiful chaos well.
Mothering is planning, juggling, loving, worrying, feeding, cheering, teaching, and trying to carve out one tiny moment for yourself in the middle of it all. And then suddenly, those little munchkins grow up, and we get the incredible privilege of seeing the thoughtful adults they become.
So today, we’re celebrating that crazy, chaotic, maddening, magical process — with Poppa in the kitchen makin’ a Mom’s Day Strawberry Salad.
Easy~Pleasy grocery list for Poppa: Local Revol Spring Greens, organic strawberries, sliced crunchy sugar snaps, crumbled Humble Goat Cheese, pistachios, and a sweet-tart drizzle of Salad Girl Pomegranate Pear Organic Vinaigrette.
Easy pleasy prep: slice strawberries, slice sugar-snap peas, put fresh greens into a pretty salad bowl, sprinkle with 1/2 C. humble goat cheese & 1/2 C. pistachios, gently toss with Salad Girl Pom-Pear Vinaigrette, and make Momma happy.
Here’s to the moms, aunties, gigis, nonnas, grandmas, and mother-hearts who keep loving through every season. Keep your eyes on the magical moments — even when you’re exhausted, even when bedtime is chaos, and even when that final ten-minute warning means absolutely nothing because toddlers can’t tell time.
Happy Mother’s Day from our Salad Girl family to yours.
