To our amazing + ever-resilient community:
 
This past week has been incredibly heavy and painful for our community and for our Baba’s family. Many of our employees, neighbors, and loved ones are carrying deep grief, fear, and exhaustion. We feel it too.
 
As an immigrant family who came to this country with hopes and dreams — seeking refuge, opportunity and belonging – times like this feel so personal. Like so many immigrant families, our parents came to build a life, to work hard, provide better opportunities for their children and to contribute to the communities that welcomed them. Immigrants are not separate from the fabric of this country — WE are an integral and essential part of it.
 
Baba’s was built on that belief. And we want you to know that we will always be a place of refuge — to gather, sit together, breathe, share food, and to remember that we are not alone. Food has always been our love language, and in moments like this, that purpose feels more important than ever.
 
We are sending so much strength, love, and protection to those raising their voices, standing up for justice, and fighting for a better future. Your courage matters. Your pain is seen. Your humanity is sacred.
 
We continue to pray for our beloved city — for healing, for justice and for peace. We are holding this special community close, today and always.
