Have you been wondering how to navigate the shifting landscape of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) thoughtfully and ethically? How can we tackle these issues in today's political climate? Furthermore, we coaches are being asked to hold space for clients experiencing stress, moral injury, and deep uncertainty about safety, belonging, and responsibility—how do we do this when we often carry these same burdens ourselves?

ICF Minnesota has arranged for Coaching for Social Justice to facilitate a dialogue to learn and exchange perspectives. During plenary and breakout sessions, CSJ’s highly trained coaching supervisors will provide a safe, supportive space for the healthy release of emotions, sharing your coaching-room experiences, exploring challenges, and exchanging practices for informed coaching. Learn about the dilemmas and ethical issues coaches face and how they are being resolved. Find answers to a question many coaches ask: “Do I continue doing the work but change the way I talk about DEIB with my clients and their sponsors?”

The Internal Coaching Network (ICN), a partnership between International Coaching Federation Minnesota Chapter (ICF MN) and Center for Coaching in Organizations (CCO), brings together professionals who are leading or participating in internal coaching programs within organizations across the Twin Cities.

ICN creates a confidential, judgment-free space for internal coaches to connect, share best practices, and explore common challenges such as strategic alignment, program funding, and leading change inside organizations. Through a mix of in-person and virtual gatherings throughout the year, the network fosters learning, innovation, and community among those advancing coaching cultures within their organizations.

The April Internal Coaching Network (ICN) session brought together a highly experienced group of coaches and leaders for a candid exchange on the impact of AI on coaching within organizations, as well as a “Coaching Lab” where a couple of internal coaches shared challenges they are facing and gathered suggestions and inputs from fellow coaches in a safe and confidential environment.

If you are currently leading or participating in an internal coaching program and are interested in learning more or joining the network, we invite you to connect with the ICN community. Meetings are held every other month, either virtually or in person. For more information, please reach out to ICN Core Team member Jim Willenbring, CPCC, PCC at [email protected].

Loretta Diez Coaching Training Scholarship is open for submissions!

Last year (2025) Jaralyn Roberts was our recipient!

ICF Minnesota is on a mission to promote the development of a diverse community of coaches dedicated to serving others inclusively and equitably. One way we strive to do this is through our Loretta Diez Coaching Training Scholarship to help make becoming a coach financially easier.

We established the Loretta Diez Coach Training Scholarship in honor of Loretta Diez, a former ICF Minnesota coach and board member who passed away in 2024. Loretta exemplified the character traits we wish to honor, celebrate, and embody. She was paralyzed in a car accident at the age of 22 and her attitude, accomplishments, contributions, and approach to life inspire us to pursue our dreams with courage, tenacity, resilience, honesty, kindness, humor, integrity and hope.

Through this scholarship we hope to honor her life and help usher in the next generation of incredible coaches. The nomination window is now open and will close on July 24, 2026.

If you or anyone you know would like to apply, please apply with the link below or reach out with any questions to [email protected].
