Dear friends at the fair and beyond,
Today we are pleased to introduce our World Famous (free)Stone-Fruit line-up available to visitors at the #1 State Fair in America:
Sweet Dream Peach: known for its enormous size, brilliant red color, high sugar content, low acidity with yellow flesh that is firm and juicy. The star of our show 20 years strong. Phenomenal results on the grill. Truly legendary.
Diamond Princess Peach: known for its vibrant coloring and candy-like sweetness, a classic yellow flesh peach that is great for all purposes including canning. This candy like sweet-tart is a pure sweetheart. When you think of peaches and cream this peach is the one.
Donut Peach: Made world famous by Frieda Caplan way back in the 80s, squat (saucer like), velvety fuzz, pale yellow with red-orange blush with ivory flesh that is dense and exceptionally juicy. Candy-like sweetness with subtle almond notes. We have never offered it but believe there is promising possibilities on the grill.
Honey Royal Nectarine: Extra large perfect looking specimens known for dark, shiny red skin, a sweet, mild low acid honeyed flavor with exceptionally firm, crunchy, yellow-orange flesh. This nectarines juice content blows people away. Honey Royal Nectarine is also a champion on the grills.
We have extraordinary supplies available this year and invite you to preview and purchase the fruits at our store in Minneapolis beginning Friday, August 21st.
The Produce Exchange is celebrating 20 years in business this year and it is our goal to get a peach in to the hands of every visitor that walks through the fairgrounds this year. With over a million visitors we probably can’t reach that goal but we will try our best.
We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone we know and love at the fair and making new friends as we do every year.
A very special thanks to the growers, the packers, and the truckers who make all of this possible. Your work is vastly under appreciated.
