Hey, friends! Figured we should share this this here too, for any inquiring FB minds! If you're wondering what the deck was going on at 56 Brewing today, here's a detailed recap of the work our team has been putting in since 10am.

Thank you to our BFFS (beer friends and fam) for showing up last night for final golden hour moments and for being the best community that a neighborhood brewery could ask for. We are fortunate to be here and forever grateful for your support over the years!

Huge shout-out to this demolition crew. Today's weather was a royal pain, and the 56 side patio still managed to make a (nearly!) full transformation.

In true Fifty-Six form, this project was powered by collaboration, laughter, and a pizza party -- thanks to our friends ! Not to brag, but we think our small crew did an Xcel-lent job working together to repair this mistake.

🍻 56 Brewing ownership will be here from ~4-6pm to connect with neighbors/friends who have questions or concerns about the situation that we [admittedly] found ourselves in. They'll also be happy to share the multiple attempts that we made over the past 8 months in hopes of keeping this lil slice of Marshall Terrace Community Garden-watching intact for our neighborhood to safely enjoy!

We're here to soft launch some sad news.

News that we've been quietly battling on our own, and doing our darndest to fight for on behalf of our little NE Minneapolis brewery and all who dwell here. 🫶

News that royally sucks to share, because we know how important it is for people to have accessible and safe spaces to connect — with one another, and with nature — and we are gutted to say that one of our favorite places to do just that, must be ripped away.

On June 11th, 2026, we will be demolishing the beloved gardenside patio. Long story short, it was built 8-9 years ago, on land that isn't ours to build on.

What will come in its place? Truthfully, we don't know, but we promise to do our best to maintain as much charm as possible. 🌻☀️🍻

Until then, we hope you'll bring your crew here for as many hangs as you can. Swipe for rad reasons to visit 56 Brewing, and PLZ take pics on the side patio while you're here!

🎨 Kids crafts & activities 1-5pm, thank you to Marshall Terrace Neighborhood for the games!

This is what eleven (11!) years of Crafting Community looks like for Fifty-Six Brewing.

We're excited to celebrate with you this Saturday, May 9th in our corner of NE Minneapolis! True to form, this 56 anniversary party is free, fam-friendly, dog-friendly, and will be happening rain or shine. 🎉

We can't raise our glasses and "cheers" to 11 years in the MN Craft Brewing Industry without expressing gratitude for the countless individuals, small business partners, and the greater Minnesota community who have helped us along the way.

Thank you for believing in 56 Brewing. For giving our team the opportunity to learn and for supporting us along the way, as we moved with intention to become the neighborhood gathering space that we are today.
