Wild Run Take a Chance On Me 🖤
This girl.
Chance had a rough first freshening. You might remember I was sick with pneumonia during a large chunk of our kidding season and her single buck took full andvantage which did a number on half of her udder. I honestly didn’t think she was going to make it to the show. But she did, and she was even. She and I put in the HOURS at the stand.
Then in late May, her dam - Prince Well Farm SD Arwen, passed away at her new home.
And Chance became my emotional support goat.
I spent a lot of hours with this girl while I cried. She’d just stand there with me, listen to me talk, and be my steady girl.
So walking her into the ring at the Pine Tree Classic at all meant more to me than wherever she placed.
She’s a 1 yo, first freshener who has had a less than ideal start, but she’s got a lot going for her and a lot of growing up left to do.
And, because apparently she has never met a thought she didn’t need to share, she spent the entire day yesterday with her mouth open.
If Chance isn’t yapping, I’d probably check on her.
This girl means a lot to me.
And I’m pretty damn happy she was standing beside me yesterday.
