Catawampus Farm and Fiber We raise Colored Angora Goats and Jacob Sheep. In the summer of 2022, added a fiber mill, for processing fiber into batts and rovings. Thanks for visiting!

We had an unexpected delay in the final closing on our new property in Nova Scotia. We are very grateful that the current owners are allowing us to use the barn and guest apartment while we wait for the mortgage company to give us the green light to close. So, although our belongings are all in a nearby storage unit, we got started on getting in our hay! Oliver the barn cat is very helpful with cleaning the loft and supervising the delivery. (I missed getting a picture of him on top of the full hay wagon, as we were getting ready to unload!)

Well, my permit to take the rams with us to Nova Scotia did not come through from CFIA in time, so they are tucked in at a friend's place until their clearance comes through. Since we are also leaving our tractor there temporarily, it means I have two great reasons to come back soon for a visit. Our house is chaos this morning, and the movers are coming to pack and load. I woke up way too early, to finish my pwn packing. Horses, donkey, dogs, parrot, and cat are all loading up today and we are heading out!!!! I can't believe it's finally happening. Tomorrow morming, I will wake up in Nova Scotia! 😃

A long week of goodbyes. 😭 We continue to disperse the goats and sheep, since they cannot cross the border. The last groups are leaving today. All of our animals have found great homes with good friends. I am extremely fortunate and grateful. I anticipate another great soul wrenching sob session at some point later today, since I will be saying farewell to my beloved goats and sheep, and also my very dear human friends who are taking them into their herd/flock.

Well, the mill space was cleared out, only to become a moving sale today! We continue to unpack the attic into the garage sale, so don't worry that you missed out today! We are here tomorrow 10 to 1 (and all day, honesty) trying to clear things out before out move to Nova Scotia next weekend! 43 York Road in Minot, ME. Lots of free stuff!!!
