I had the joy of delivering 6 dozen of my favorite holiday cookie, white chocolate cranberry, to the Minot Area Chamber EDC for the annual Team Minot Cookie Drive. The cookies collected will be arranged into platters and delivered to Airmen that will be working on Christmas, unable to spend the day with their families.

Before moving to Minot, my family spent most holidays apart. Getting to be together is a privilege I will never take for granted and I’m thankful for the opportunity to show my appreciation for our local service members while also spreading some holiday cheer.

Remember that apple pie filling from the other day? I had the chance to take that project a little further to make something different, but equally delicious.

After finishing my batch of pie filling I had a big bowl of scraps; peels, cores, bruised pieces - things that would generally be discarded.

On a whim I decided to try using them to make a batch of mulled cider. I added the scraps, orange, vanilla, my favorite fall spices, and maple syrup to my slow cooker with some water. About 20 hours later, this was the end result. It’s crisp, sweet, and spiced to perfection. What could have easily been trash, became something to enjoy.

It tastes like everything I love about this time of year and I can’t wait to make more!

Today included another delicious project: apple pie filling.

Apple pie is a household favorite, so I’ve made my fair share over the years, but have never canned the filling. After being gifted a large box of locally grown apples, it seemed like the perfect time to give it a try. Going into the holiday season with the convenience of premade filling, but with all of the homemade goodness, is something I’m really looking forward to.

Hello friends! I know I’ve been a little quiet on here since I wrapped up my farmers market season. I’ve been soaking up the incredible fall weather, spending time with my family, and getting ready for our first winter in the cozy cottage.

Even though I might not have the pictures (or my market stand) to prove it, I’ve also been busy in the kitchen. I just finished seal testing a batch of delicious grape jelly featuring locally grown grapes.

I’ve got other fun and delicious projects in the works, so make sure to keep following along. As always, if you have a special event coming up, need help with the holiday baking, or just want to treat yourself, I’m only a message away. 💗

If you are craving some freshly baked treats, but didn’t make it to the farmers market today, I’ve got good news…..

I still have some boxes of cookies remaining in each of today’s flavors:

Boxes are $5 each or 3 for $10. I’ll be making deliveries in Minot and to Minot AFB tomorrow morning.

Happy Saturday, Minot! Today is my LAST DAY of farmers market for the 2025 season. I’ll be ending where I started, at the Minot Farmers Market , and I wouldn’t have it any other way. While I am sad thinking about not setting up my vendor stand again till June, I am so happy to have been able to connect with the community this way. It has been such a joy and wonderful reminder of what a special community Minot is. A special thank you to each of you that have made this season so memorable.

To close things out, I did my best to curate a selection of best sellers/most frequently requested and a few seasonal favorites. I’ll be bringing:
- Apple Cider Bread
- Cookie Butter Banana Bread
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Apple Oatmeal Cookies
- Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Cookies
- Sugar Cookie Dunkaroos
- Cookie Butter Spice Cake

I’ll also have 4oz and 8oz jars of apple butter and some seasonal simmer pot kits to give your home all the wonderful smells of the season.
