After a loooong wait, a very special Golden delivery is here 👑💛

Local friends! We’re still searching for a Lap AI vet this fall, if anyone knows one!

We’re a little bit behind, as always, but we just finished swabbing for our NPIP HPAI renewal!

Half the hens are now broody and we released the Svart Honas back into gen pop because they strongly dislike captivity, but we can still offer small batches of Buckeye, Partridge Chantecler, and Svart/Ameraucana/Fibro Easter Egger Surprise hatching eggs and will be setting one more batch of Buckeyes & Chanteclers to incubate soon.

After 3 years not needing a pneumonia vaccine, we’re switching back to Nasalgen 3 PMH IN this year. It has worked really well for us in the past! This weather sucks, and we’re also prepping for our first show, which will be a whole mixing pot of pathogens.

As with CDT, we will only vaccinate our keepers, but we can also do non-keepers upon request.

Tiramisu and Denarius’ boys are still unfolding, but adorable! 2/3 are up for grabs at a low rate if they go as future wethers and if claimed before we disbud tomorrow. We’re hanging onto one for now because a) he immediately claimed us as his parents and b) he’s our last chance to keep Denarius’ genetics.

All three did inherit their parents’ chocolatey goodness, and one also has some roaning 😍

We also have a couple Oberhasli bucklings, one Guernsey buckling, and adult Ober & Mini Nubian bucks still available! Aaaaand an Ober dry yearling & possibly a doe in milk or two.

Sheila says, “Meh!”

In our latest (human) fertility update, we have some positive news! Don’t get too excited though - it’s not THAT positive 😆

As you might remember, we’ve had what feels like endless scans, tests, and procedures since 2022. After more doctors than we can count being up in there over the past few years, one finally figured out a likely cause of our recurrent miscarriages: Jess has a T-shaped uterus (not to be confused with a septate or bicornuate malformation).

A couple weeks ago, our aaaamazing doctor tried a new procedure that has shown a lot of success in Europe. He’s one of only two in the U.S. performing it, and today we got to see the results: an almost-normal uterus!

The doctor and his assistants were all super excited about how it looked and asked if they could publish the results photos, so now Jess is officially a medical research subject 😆

Wellllll we were hoping the geese would have a better hatch this year because they picked better nesting spots than last year. But so far, only two goslings have hatched - a male and a female. The female has something dangling that might be a hernia, but we’ll see. There is one nest left to go!

A whole bunch of people have asked about goslings. We’ve got 6 males available, MAYBE 3 females if this one survives, and a few pet quality adults. We’ve been trying our best to remove the spot gene from our flock, but a few might still have it (it looks like the female pictured does).

Tiramisu and Denarius ended our kidding season with a trio of big ol’ boys 🙃

These are the last Denarius kids ever and are looking flashy! It’s hard to tell while they’re wet, but it looks like they all inherited their parents’ chocolate gene and their daddy’s nice pendulous ears.

Tiramisu’s udder is looking super, super nice so far - we’ll see how she develops before we let these guys be herdsires, but we’ve got high hopes!

2026 season total: 18 does (1 doa), 22 bucks (3 doa)

Our doeling Vani is back from hernia surgery, and it went well! After looking at the tissue up close, our vet is fairly certain that the abscess caused the hernia & that it’s not a genetic defect. After a couple weeks in a hospital stall, Vani will rejoin her friends and sister in our keeper herd!

Through no fault of his own, our little buddy is up for grabs again!

We've got a super nice disbudded bottle baby Guernsey buckling available, located in NE Wisconsin. Also happy to work with transporters. There's a transport opportunity as far west as Wyoming coming up soon.

With his parents' personalities, he should turn into an amazing pet as a wether - or he also has the potential to be a great herdsire. DNA has already been run for the canceled transaction.

This little guy's dam Treasured Sunrise Seelie is one of our favorite does - she's out of Sorena and Dominique, strongly linebred on Veranda's Marsh. She is a first freshener, and her udder is looking very promising so far. Her first DHI milk test was this weekend at 3 weeks fresh - she produced a whopping 8.9lbs!

His sire is Treasured Sunrise Helios, our teddy bear out of CH (pending) HiddenGold, a gorgeous Hermione daughter. Helios' sire is Pirate Gold out of Fools Gold, who is a milking machine!
