Beautiful trip around Seeley Lake today with Tracie Oswalt Carrasco with Raising Silkies with Mom & Joe to meet and visit our new friends at Rocky Box Ranch. Jake Box What a magnificent place you've got and how cool is it to get feed from someone who is actually raising the animals hes making the feed for. So happy with the switch. And he also heard I was after an egg but I dont buy the layer bags so i would never find one, I got a little bonus while I was there. 🥰Day made. Thanks Jake

My beautiful Peacocks are coming into their 2nd season of laying. Last fall she gave me 3. These babies are weighing 3.6 to 3.8 Oz and yes size and shape does matter when it comes to incubating eggs, you want big fat healthy chicks not tiny and weak, these are super healthy looking eggs. My girl is feeling good🥰

Dark Brahma
Brahmas are slow to mature but we are finally ready and I am so proud🥰 My Kryptonite. My Rooster is only about 10 months old but well see how he does. These Docile, calm giants of the coop are great pets and easy to handle. One of the largest dual purpose chicken breeds, with roosters weighing around 12 lbs and hens about 9.5 lbs, deep bodies with abundant soft penciled feathers, including on their legs and feet. Brahmas are very cold-hardy due to their profuse feathering, but need dry conditions to thrive
They lay large tan eggs, typically 150-200 per year, and are good winter layers.
They are considered dual-purpose but also popular as ornamental breed.
