Bread of LIfe-Mitchell Church of Christ distribution of food and necessities to needy members of our community.” Funding for the food pantry comes from multiple sources.

We are located in the east wing of the Family Life Center of the Mitchell Church of Christ. Once a month we have a special collection during our worship assembly at Mitchell Church of Christ, and Capstone Ministries supports our food pantry on a monthly basis. We receive some funds from the VFW Post 9107, concerned individuals, and other community organizations & churches. The food pantry receives

food donations on a regular basis as well. These come from our church members and from citizens in the community. Open Monday from 10 AM to 12 and Tuesday 1PM to 3. We are providing car-side service, Stay in your car, and we will come out to check you in and will bring the food out to your car. Eligibility for food is determined by self-declaration. No proof of income is required, only name, county and number of people in your household. To receive food you must certify that your household income is at or below the following income guidelines:

4 people - income $59,478
5 people - income $69.653
6 people - income $79,828
7 people - income $80,676
8 people - income $81,524
9 people - income $82,372
10 people - income $83,220
For each additional household member, add $840.00 a month.

📪Stamp Out Hunger is tomorrow! 📪

Last year’s food drive brought in 35,031 pounds of food and organizers hope to top that amount in 2026. “Food pantry lines are still very high and with the recent loss of some federal commodities, it has become harder for us to meet the need,” said HHFB Executive Director Julio Alonso. “We count on this food drive to supply us with a large amount of food and this year it is more important than ever. We’re hoping for a big response.”

“Letter carriers look forward each year to helping our communities as we fill our trucks with your food donations,” said NALC Branch 828 President Joshua Peterson. “The food drive happens rain or shine! We invite our customers to join in America’s great day of giving and help “Stamp out Hunger.”

We will receive the food from the local post office’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
